How to post about Nazis and get away with it - the Godwin's Law FAQ
Topic: Technology 5:30 pm EST, Nov 22, 2003

] One of the most famous pieces of Usenet trivia out there
] is "if you mention Hitler or Nazis in a post, you've
] automatically ended whatever discussion you were taking
] part in". Known as Godwin's Law, this rule of Usenet has
] a long and sordid history on the network - and is
] absolutely wrong. This FAQ is an attempt to set straight
] as much of the history and meaning of Godwin's Law as
] possible, and hopefully encourage users to invoke it a
] bit more sparingly. Of course, knowing Usenet, it won't

] Like the Segway, Bombardier's Embrio concept--a prototype
] that may or may not make production--uses gyroscope
] technology to balance riders but adds a dash of flair
] absent in the Segway, which we as car nuts find slightly
] nerdy.

That is pretty awesome. I definitely want one, but I wonder how much they cost.

] Like explorers from centuries past, Molly McLain and Kim
] Moss navigate the unknown, compiling reliable directions
] and maps along the way. But for these two Navtech
] employees, GPS is their compass, a computer database
] their canvas. And instead of charting some remote
] coastline, these digital mappers help you make it through
] the urban wilderness of cities such as Chicago.
Interesting job... These are the people who make the maps that Yahoo, MapQuest, etc. uses.
