this is a boot loader that has a built in compiler, it compiles the kernel its going to boot then boots it... sure its a bit useless (though I'm sure someone has thought of a reason for this), but you gotta love that sort of project... --Abaddon TCCBOOT: TinyCC Boot Loader |

] Scientists from RAND Corporation have created this model ] to illustrate how a "home computer" could look in the ] year 2004. However the needed technology will not be ] economically feasible for the average home. Also the ] scientists readily admit that the computer will require ] not yet invented technology to actually work, but 50 ] years from now scientific progress is expected to solve ] these problems. With teletype interface and the Fortran ] language, the computer will be easy to use and only I just want to know what the hell is the steering wheel for. ] GmailFS provides a mountable Linux filesystem which uses ] your Gmail account as its storage medium. GmailFS is a ] Python application and uses the FUSE userland filesystem ] infrastructure to help provide the filesystem, and ] libgmail to communicate with Gmail. This is a fucking brilliant idea! If I was giving out an award for hack of the year this would be in the running. Yes, python is a brain crushingly inefficient way to implement a filesystem, but Gmail is still likely to be the bottleneck. Google probably won't like this because they don't really expect people to use all of the space they have, but they probably can't stop you from doing this either. Got to port this to OSX! ] Smart pointers are objects which store pointers to ] dynamically allocated (heap) objects. They behave much ] like built-in C pointers except that they automatically ] delete the object pointed to at the appropriate time. ] Smart pointers are particularly useful in the face of ] exceptions as they ensure proper destruction of ] dynamically allocated objects. They can also be used to ] keep track of dynamically allocated objects shared by ] multiple owners. ] ] Conceptually, smart pointers are seen as owning the ] object pointed to, and thus responsible for deletion of ] the object when it is no longer needed.
