VideoJug is every aspect of life explained and illustrated through an ever-growing number of common sense, informative, helpful and entertaining videos. It’s like having an army of top-class experts at your fingertips 24/7 to “show you how” and to help you out. And you can contribute your own knowledge, experience, wisdom and tips too, as we’re aiming to create a place that people come to share — as well as find — knowledge. Covering relationships, health, lifestyle, work, finance, fun and much more, VideoJug is the complete visual guide to all human life. Whatever you want to know, VideoJug will have the answer. Initially, we’re offering thousands of ‘How to’ videos, but we’re also developing guides offering deeper insights into more detailed subjects such as planning a wedding or learning a new business skill. And we want your wisdom — after all, everyone has at least one subject that they really understand. Don't keep it to yourself. If you or anyone you know has a world-class skill, whether it's juggling, cooking fantastic soup or getting a crying baby to sleep — tell us about it now!
I've spent this very hung-over sunday watching most of the videojug videos on cooking. This site just plain rules. They have videos that explain other aspects of life, but I haven't watched them. I probably won't. --timball VideoJug |

The former U.S. attorney in Kansas City, Mo., Todd P. Graves, said yesterday that he was asked to step down from his job by a senior Justice Department official in January 2006, months before eight other federal prosecutors would be fired by the Bush administration.
This is a huge article about one more USA that was pushed out of his office in Missouri. Watch the fireworks starting at 9:30am on c-span. --timball Number of Fired Prosecutors Grows - washingtonpost.com |

There's good news for those of us who were dismayed at the cancellation of "Dead Like Me." The dark comedy about the trials and tribulations of a group of grim reapers may come back to life -- briefly, at least. "Dead Like Me," the popular Showtime television series starring Mandy Patinkin and Ellen Muth, is returning as a made-for-DVD movie. MGM told Moviehole.com that Stephen Herek ("The Mighty Ducks") will direct the new film. There's no word yet on who’ll be starring in the film -- but hopefully they'll revive the original cast.
Okay seriously "Dead Like Me" remains one of my favorite shows along the lines of such things as Homicide: Life on the Street or Studio 60 -- on the Sunset Strip. And it ain't just cause Ellen Muth is hot. Nor is it because Mandy Patinkin is Inigo Montoya and someone killed his father and needs to prepare to die. --timball Science fiction news from SyFy Portal: Battlestar Galactica, Heroes, Doctor Who, and more |

Rulings Weaken Patents' Power - washingtonpost.com |

The Supreme Court concluded a series of cases yesterday that weaken the protection given to patent holders, making it more difficult to get a patent and easier to challenge existing ones. Patent experts said one of two cases decided yesterday -- KSR International v. Teleflex-- is the court's furthest-reaching ruling in the field for decades. The decision sends a clear message that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and lower courts must be more open in considering whether inventions are "obvious," a common ground for denying an application.

washingtonpost.com's Presidential Campaign Tracker uses information from campaigns, media reports and other sources to compile a listing of events involving presidential candidates and their spouses. The tracker covers events since January 2007. It does not include every event -- particularly fundraisers, which often are unannounced. Some events will be added retroactively as more details become available. If you want to let us know about an event, e-mail us at politicscalendar@washingtonpost.com.

Vonage sucks. Right now April 19th, 2007 vonage has experienced 5hrs of a self described "network upgrade" to "improve service". It seems that current levels of service are "none" to "bullshit". This includes 911 service. Which put all their customers out of touch with emergency services via the vonage network. The Ts&Cs shouldn't indemnify Vonage Holdings (LLC) of putting their customers in danger. Of course they could be verizon trouble too. Or they are the target of a DDoS attack. Perhaps some evil villain is using this downtime to rob poor aunt May of all her (what brands does aunt carry?) See Spiderman 3 to find out that and more... By Alberto R. Gonzales Sunday, April 15, 2007; Page B07 My decision some months ago to privately seek the resignations of a small number of U.S. attorneys has erupted into a public firestorm. First and foremost, I appreciate the public service of these fine lawyers and dedicated professionals, each of whom served his or her full four-year term as U.S. attorney. I apologize to them, their families and the thousands of dedicated professionals at the Justice Department for my role in allowing this matter to spin into an undignified Washington spectacle.
Watch for the hot legislative testimony Tuesday on C-SPAN. (Check local listings) This Attorney General Gonzales's opinion piece from the washington post. --timball Alberto R. Gonzales - Nothing Improper - washingtonpost.com |
