The Time Traveler Convention - May 7, 2005
Topic: Science 2:35 pm EDT, May  2, 2005

] The Time Traveler Convention
]
]
] May 7, 2005, 10:00pm EDT (08 May 2005 02:00:00 UTC)
]
]
] East Campus Courtyard, MIT
]
]
] 42:21:36.025°N, 71:05:16.332°W
]
]
] (42.360007,-071.087870 in decimal degrees)
]
]
]
] What is it?
]
] Technically, you would only need one time traveler
] convention. Time travelers from all eras could meet at a
] specific place at a specific time, and they could make as
] many repeat visits as they wanted. We are hosting the
] first and only Time Traveler Convention at MIT in one
] week, and WE NEED YOUR HELP!
]
] Why do you need my help?
]
] We need you to help PUBLICIZE the event so that future
] time travelers will know about the convention and attend.
] This web page is insufficient; in less than a year it
] will be taken down when I graduate, and futhermore, the
] World Wide Web is unlikely to remain in its present form
] permanently. We need volunteers to publish the details of
] the convention in enduring forms, so that the time
] travelers of future millennia will be aware of the
] convention. This convention can never be forgotten! We
] need publicity in MAJOR outlets, not just Internet news.
] Think New York Times, Washington Post, books, that sort
] of thing. If you have any strings, please pull them.

Electronic Confession to Sister Mary de las Rosas
Topic: Recreation 1:14 pm EDT, May  2, 2005

] Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin
] is covered.
] Blessed is the man to whom the Lord does not impute
] iniquity,
] And in whose spirit there is no deceit. Psalm 32:1,2
]
]
] We all come to the table with the burden of Sin.
]
]
] The Sacrament of Confession is a serious thing, not to be
] taken lightly.
]
]
] Begin your preparation with prayer. Ask the Holy Spirit
] to open your heart and mind to see those things that you
] have done which have offended our Lord and other people.
] What are those things that you neglected to do that you
] should have done? Prayerfully meditate on the Ten
] Commandments. Reflect on a written examination of
] conscience (see below).

] There has been a small outbreak of zombism in
] a small town near the border of Laos in North-Eastern
] Cambodia.
]
] The culprit was discovered to be mosquitoes native to
] that region carrying a new strain of Malaria which thus
] far has a 100 percent mortality rate and kills victims in
] fewer than 2 days.
]
] After death, this parasite is able to restart the heart
] of its victim for up to two hours after the initial
] demise of the person where the individual behaves in
] extremely violent ways from what is believed to be a
] combination of brain damage and a chemical released into
] blood during resurrection.

BRAINS!!!!

Cambodia has run out of room in hell.

Virtual Economy
Topic: Business 3:14 pm EDT, Apr 29, 2005

I think the biggest problem with e-commerce and pay for content type sites (including music, movies, etc.) is that it expects real cash for virtual service. The internet needs a reliable system of monopoly money for virtual values. Everyone who uses the internet has the ability to earn virtual value which then can be used for other content all based in a fake economy. Let content pay for content. Hell, think of how kick ass Bittorrent would work if everyones supplied bandwidth could actually be cashed in on. For the first time, a person's intellectual clout will be worth its own rewards. Someone needs to make this.

Pretty neat. Make a drawing, and this generates scribblings based on it.
