Creator Kenneth Johnson, who wrote and directed the May 1983 miniseries (and earned a Writers Guild Award nomination in the process), has been tapped by NBC to revive the franchise. In an announcement issued Monday by the network, Johnson said his new script will pick up 20 years after the original story. Original stars Jane Badler, who reigned as alien queen Diana, and Marc Singer, who fought the good fight as mere mortal Mike Donovan, "could possibly return to resume their roles," the network notes. NBC also drops the names of Faye Grant, who played hero scientist Julie Parish, and Robert Englund, who, in a pre-Freddy turn, played Willie, the Visitor defector. 'V: The Second Generation' |

"I'm really excited by George Bush's latest reason for bombing Iraq: he's running out of patience. And so am I! For some time now I've been really pissed off with Mr Johnson, who lives a couple of doors down the street. Well, him and Mr Patel, who runs the health food shop. They both give me queer looks, and I'm sure Mr Johnson is planning something nasty for me, but so far I haven't been able to discover what. I've been round to his place a few times to see what he's up to, but he's got everything well hidden. That's how devious he is..." I'm losing patience with my neighbours, Mr Bush |

I wonder how long it will take for these things to end up on QVC. You can probably sell them to goths as "death diamonds" or new agers as "spirit stones." Who knew that you can get up to 100 diamonds out of one corpse... sell and wear your dead relatives and pets |

"We were eating a few of the chips, and I was about to give some to a 3-year-old child," Campbell said. "I thought it was a little bag of seasoning inside. When I saw what it was, I called the police." A police report said the contents of the heat-sealed bag smelled like marijuana. The leafy substance and the chips were seized as evidence. The Git-N-Go store where Campbell bought the snacks has taken the rest of the Uncle Ray's chips off its shelves, said Mandi Lockridge.
