ALHAMBRA, Calif -- The littermates of a Northern California puppy may be green with envy. That's because a golden retriever born last week is green. The little green fella is one of a litter of four. But his littermates are the usual blond color. The owner, a dog breeder, says he's mystified about the green color.Veterinarians said that it's possible for a newborn pup's fur to be green because the placenta, which is green, sometimes rubs off during birth. Whatever the cause, the little green guy now has name -- Wasabi. That's the spicy green mustard put on sushi.

Mr. Boivin dropped 10 barrels of cheese into the Saguenay last fall after a fisherman reported reeling in a piece of Boivin cheese from a lake bottom and trying it. It was pronounced the best cheese he'd ever tasted. Undeterred by the apparent failure of this year's underwater cheese experiment, Mr. Boivin is trying again. He still believes that underwater pressure will enhance the taste of an aged cheddar. So within the next few weeks, he will drop another charge of cheese in a stainless steel, submarine-type vessel into the Baie des Ha! Ha! But this time, he's taking no chances. The cheddar will be outfitted with a tracking device.

Oct. 6, 2005 — The New York Police Department and FBI are investigating a "credible" tip that 19 operatives have been deployed to the city to place bombs in the subway, and security in the subways has been increased. Department of Homeland Security sources told ABC News they were very doubtful the threat information is credible, however. The city's police department said it was taking the threat seriously and believed the source was reliable, but also urged the public not to be alarmed because the information had not been verified.
Right... don't be alarmed... There only might be bombs in the subway tomorrow, nothing to fuss over really. Just a few. ABC News: Police Investigate New York Subway Terror Threat |

I started this blog because I was accumulating a lot of interesting and amusing links and I love to share them. I was sending out too many emails to various friends and thought it would be easier just to create a blog where they could come to and perhaps find something amusing that would help the hours at work go by a little bit faster.
Every so often someone mentions one of my pages in their blog, and it's not just a "them and their friends" spike in my traffic, but I instead find my site getting deluged with hundreds (or thousands) of new visitors. This is one of those blogs. The guy gave me one mention, and my daily traffic jumped about 50%. Looks like this guy has thousands of daily readers. And I have to admit, he's got a knack for blogging a lot of interesting stuff! Elonka :) Cynical-C Blog |
