] No bullshit, no hassle, and no need to pay extortionate ] collector's prices for rare live performances. ] ] Here are the collected bootlegs of Bill Hicks live shows, ] available to download for free in mp3 form. We'll be ] adding to this archive with background information and ] further mp3s we can unearth, but in the meantime these ] files should provide a few further hours of listening ] entertainment for those of you who have already greedily ] devoured all of Bill's commercial recordings. Enjoy. We need another Bill Hicks. I'm not going to be able to survive this war on terrorism without one. The download site appears broken (overloaded?) right now, but I'm meme'ing the main page anyway so I remember to check it later. Its probably down because it started getting linked everywhere.. I'm going to give it a few days. Its worth waiting for. Bill Hicks Bootleg Downloads |

Photography and Why Digital Cameras Suck |

"I have my one fully automatic Pentax MZ5 and I love it. It's light, it's fast, and it has a decent, if a bit on the slow side, lens. It's nice for doing action shots - shot that D.O.A mini-concert and I'm pretty happy with the results. My little $400 full auto Pentax gives me 15 megapixel resolution if I scan the negatives in my 3600 dpi transparency scanner. In conjunction with good film shot in a fashion I've been able to nail down through experimentation, I get some incredible shots. Buy a 15 megapixel digital camera? No. " Photography and Why Digital Cameras Suck |

" Dyslexics who have trouble reading words online and in print may soon find relief in a new typeface being developed by a Dutch designer. Unlike traditional typefaces, which reuse the same forms for multiple letters -- such as b and d, or p and q -- the Read Regular typeface makes each letter significantly unique so that dyslexics can more easily distinguish one character from another. Additionally, Read Regular features simplified forms and extended openings in letters like c and e. " New Typeface to Help Dyslexics |

"David Lee Roth has cancelled the rest of his US tour after injuring himself performing "a very fast, complicated 15th-century samurai move" during a recent performance. The former Van Halen frontman, who is known for his athleticism, was performing a gig in Philadelphia when he cracked his face with a long piece of wood." I hope somebody taped this.

"In 1946, Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí, in one of cinema's oddest collaborations, teamed up on a short film called Destino. But Disney's studio ran into financial trouble and put the unfinished film on the shelf. Now, 57 years later, a team of Disney animators has finished what Dalí started. The six-minute film, spearheaded by Walt's nephew Roy E. Disney and producer Baker Bloodworth (Dinosaur), premiered at the Annecy Animation Festival in June and is currently touring festivals worldwide. Recent stops include the Telluride, Montreal and Venice festivals, along with the Melbourne International Film Festival, where it won the grand prize for best short film. "An alternative rock band from Florida claims it'll feature a live suicide during a gig next month. Tampa outfit Hell on Earth says a terminally ill member of a right-to-die group planned to commit suicide on stage during the gig on October 4. Their website says the person's identity won't be released until the day of the gigat the State Theatre in St. Petersburg. The site didn't say how the person would commit suicide. The band claims the "volunteer" wanted to die onstage to "raise awareness for dying with dignity"." Ananova: Rock band plans onstage suicide |
