When I heard about Brad's death I was sad because of the loss to the community, but it didn't really touch me personally. I had seen him all over the site, but I didn't really feel as if either of us had influenced the other. Then I saw my name on the graphs and it suddenly hit me. We influenced each other in our own little ways. Then I got to the graph for the week after and the orange bubble was gone. It looked so empty and I realized how much of an impact he really had on the MemeStreams community. You will be dearly missed by all. http://www.memestreams.net/yearingraphs/brad/ RE: I am sad, and unhappy... |

CNN has just released a DVD of footage from the war in Iraq, just in case you didn't get enough of it when it was actually happening. Doesn't it seem weird to see a documentary come out so soon after the event? Ah, capitalism at its finest! War in Iraq: The Road to Baghdad |

Broadband internet connections should come with pamphlets explaining the risks of repetative motion injuries and how to avoid them. After all, you could hurt yourself downloading porn at up to 50 times the speed of dialup. -Jon |

"Do you need a break from the daily mobile soap? Surround yourself with soothing space. Simply press your pocket-size BuBL device. Release a bubble of silence. You'll feel pleasantly isolated inside, even in a crowded place. Evaporate all phone signals up to three meters around. Enjoy the silence. Create your Personal BuBL Space." Read carefully... Great idea. I work in a deli and I get really annoyed when people try to talk on their cell phones and place an order at the same time. This would be great to have at work, but it would probably mess with the wireless networking units in the scales. Too bad. BuBL Space |
