] Episode 78 - Cryptography (original air date: 01/11/2005) Stankdawg's web radio program -- I was co-host for this week's episode. Check the link to download the MP3. We talked about some "Cryptography 101" stuff, including a brief overview of the PhreakNIC v3.0 Code and Kryptos. We ran out of time discussing the Cyrillic Projector, but may cover it in a future show. Thanks to SD for inviting me! Elonka :) Binary Revolution - The Cryptography Episode |

But 50 bucks for a weekend of hacking goodness doesn't seem so awful bad to me in and of itself. I mean, that much can easily be blown going to a movie and dinner on one night or giong drinking out at a club or something, so 50 bucks is not the issue to me personally. The bottom line becomes the total package price. HOTEL + AIRFARE + ENTRY FEE + FOOD AND AMMENITIES = $$$ so I look at the total bottom line and make a decision based on that. I don't know if I will be able to afford the bottom line for interz0ne. RE: Interz0ne 4: *50* BUCKS??? |

When a MemeStreams user recommends a link, it ] is counted as a vote for that link to appear on the main ] page, and the page for the topic it was recommended into. ] This feed shows the most popular links in all topics over ] the past 24-48 hours. I just stumbled across this and found it interesting enough to post. It looks like they take several XML news feeds and maintain them chronologically by date and time so that you can look in on any snapshot in time and get the news from several sources for that timeframe. I found them because they linked to memestreams by using the memestreams feed. I didn't know who might or might not already be aware of it. Feed: MemeStreams Top URLs (NewsAttic.com) |

I also offered to present it at phreaknic but it was last minute to fill a gap and they went with some impromptu stuff instead. I submitted an article detailing it to 2600 which I hope will be published and maybe I can present this at interz0ne or something. RE: Will Hack For Food! - Temporary Email Accounts |

Decius wrote: ] ] TypeKey helps ensure that people who comment on a site ] ] have a verified identity, keeping conversations on track ] ] and helping to prevent abusive or offensive content ] ] (comment spam) from being posted. I was thinking more along the thoughts of what about my anonymity and right to privacy? If a site used this, I would probably avoid it. But I looked to see what they had to say and found this snippet on the site: --- "As a TypeKey user, you get your own free TypeKey Profile Page, displaying only the information you choose to share. Those who are interested in finding out more about the person behind the comments on a site can visit the identity page to see what information is publicly available. You can even publish a TypeKey Profile Page while remaining completely anonymous." --- So I wonder, if you can still post anonymously, why bother having the typekey system in the first place? What good is registering and then always posting anonymously(besides adding your name to their database)? Doesn't that defeat the purpose? Or am I missing something? RE: TypeKey |
