I wear a disguise
I'm not just your average jane
The super doesn't stand for model
But that doesn't mean I'm plain
If all you see is how I look
You miss the superchick within
And I christen you titanic underestimate and swim
I've got the rifle gonna be myself
I'll be everything that I want to be
I am confidence in insecurity
I am a voice yet waiting to be heard
I'll shoot the shot bang that you hear round the world
I'm a one girl revolution
Some people see the revolution but most only see the girl
I can lose my hard earned freedom in my fear defines my world
I declare my independence from the critics and their stones
I can find my revolution I can learn to stand alone...

13 year old throws baby out her window and lets it die |

Now, here's something that really gets me heated. We have a brilliant 13 year old girl who hid her pregnancy from her parents for 9 months, who then threw the baby out her bedroom window after it was born because she was "scared." Please, you are kidding me. Put her in jail with Andrea Yates, and round up her ignorant 15 year old boyfriend, and the parents too. Do us a favor and rot in prison. There's no excuse for this. 13 year old throws baby out her window and lets it die |

I've always said that I think Kobe Bryant is innocent--a cheater--but not a rapist. And, at the expense of everyone here thinking I am a monster, I admire the way his defense team shredded his accuser and her case. If you're feeling depraved and mildly curious, you can read the uncut Kobe Bryant interview from the night he was arrested on the Smoking Gun website. Kobe Bryant's Uncut Interview |

Since I work in an office with a lot of people who have any number of paranoid conspiracy theories, this short movie about the 9/11 plan crash at the Pentagon found its way into my inbox. If you've got a few minutes, take a look at this. Although I know nothing about this group, the soundtrack is cool and for those of you who believe in a big government conspiracy, this is fuel for the fire, if you choose to believe it. Hands off Partial Birth Abortion |

Hooray for a woman's right to choose! Although I would like to see this turned over entirely and not just for a health exception, this is a step in the right direction. I'm a firm supporter of all types of abortions. Take your laws and shove 'em. THE ASSOCIATED PRESS In a highly anticipated ruling, a federal judge found the Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act unconstitutional Thursday because it does not include a health exception for what he called a gruesome procedure. U.S. District Judge Richard C. Casey in Manhattan said the Supreme Court has made it clear that a law which prohibits the performance of a particular abortion procedure must include an exception to preserve a womans life and health. New York Braces for Protests |

As someone who works in New York City, I take very seriously the almost daily stories about security concerns. New York has been on terror alert level orange since September 11. Please, protestors who are planning civil disobedience or other actions that will cause havoc during the RNC, stay home. New Yorkers don't need this kind of stress in their lives. Getting to work that week will be stressful enough without people like this woman insisting on her illegal march to Times Square. From MSNBC.com: Cheri Honkala, a welfare mother from Philadelphia, who says she expects to bring in 5,000 rural and urban folks for a purposefully illegal march across town to Times Square. "The police told us there was no way in hell they were going to give us a permit to march," she said. Honkala, who led a similar march at the Republican convention in Philadelphia in 2000, shrugged. "We have to mess it all up. . . . Poor people have been living with terror every day." New York Braces for Protests |

Palestinian Prisoners Make 200 Demands |

There's a reason these convicted terrorists are in jail, and its not so Israel can provide you with a photocopier, refrigerator, and computer--among other things--in every cell. You want to have a hunger strike? Go ahead--hopefully Israel will respect any person's right to live or die by choice. From J.Post.com: Internal Security Minister Tzachi Hanegbi said Sunday that the Prisons Service will not negotiate with the prisoners and will not give in to any of their demands. "From my perspective, the Palestinians can strike for one day, a month, or even until death," Hanegbi said. On Monday, Arab MK Abdul Malek Dahamshe called on Prime Minister Ariel Sharon to fire Hanegbi in response to his "irresponsible remarks." "I have asked to remove Hanegbi from his position," Dahamshe said. "How can we allow a man who says he doesn't care if the prisoners starve to death to be responsible for the prisoner's wellbeing?" From Debka.com: Israel's prisons raise preparedness after pipe bomb detached from fence of Hadarim jail, one of facilities where convicted Palestinian terrorists on hunger strike for second day. DEBKAfile reports inmates's 200 demands include public telephones, no more strip or cell searches, no partitions for visitors, facilities to cook own food, a computer, photo copier, fruit knife and refrigerator in every cell and karate classes.
