Cat mutilations have been reported in several states now - and the pattern is the same - Cats, with no blood, cut in thirds or half - sometimes with their little kitty legs cut off - surgically or with a laser....left for others to find. Top places have been Texas, Edmonton, Canada, and Utah, but the cases have been popping up all over North America. Police in some areas say they will no longer report the details, thinking that perhaps it is inciting copy ...uh....cat killers. It is totally sick. I'm no PETA member, but my cats are my babies. Cats ARE the size of babies. Here in Georgia, ( one sicko was torturing cats and feeding them to his pit bulls.
------------------- "Aurora police will hold a news conference on Wednesday to announce that they will no longer release details on the cat mutilation cases that have plagued the metro area because they believe that media coverage may actually provoke more mutilations. At the conference, police will also introduce the members of the multi-city task force created last month to crack the case. Officers will also explain how the public can help in the investigation, and how pet owners can keep their cats safe by keeping them indoors. Four mutilated cats were discovered over the weekend, bringing the number to 40 cats discovered in Aurora, Denver and surrounding areas in the past year" Cow Mutilations were bad enough - but CAT mutilations? |

to protect life? "We are excited about this new additional federal agency purchasing TASER technology to protect life," said Tom Smith, Chairman and Founder of TASER international. "Traditionally, we have focused law enforcement sales at the local and state level, but we are now seeing acceptance of TASER technology at various federal law enforcement agencies." "We have seen a continual marked increase in TASER technology purchases at the federal level following our initial U.S. military approval of a five-year indefinite delivery indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract. We are proud that law enforcement within the Departments of Defense, Justice, Homeland Security, Interior, and Agriculture are now relying on TASER devices to protect life." One of my trades is that of mental health professional. Former, but I still have my license, and my interest, and I've seen a LOT. So I can't help but venture into armchair psychoanalysis. Forgive me. I've sat here for a long time bored, going though the plays that Cho wrote, and I've listened to some interviews with his classmates and roommates, and reading news articles to catch up on all that... What I keep seeing is "Oh, he wrote disturbing stuff. People getting killed. Weapons. Threats under what he wrote. Twisted violent stuff..." And I have to groan. There's thousands of screenwriters, playwrights, novelists, ect., who produce some very graphic and violent work. 300. The Grudge. Saw. Saw II. Stephen King. Anne Rice. Mel Gibson. Castlevania. Doom. Ad infinitum. And there's some artists out there that paint pictures of people dead, dying, and bleeding. Like me. Don't you think that if everyone that produced graphic, violent art was crazy and in danger of being a 'shooter' that we'd not have NOTICED it by now? No, the media has this one wrong. While it is true that I've seen alot of really disturbing letters, plays, poems, ect....it is rarely the violence that is expressed that is the problem. It is the disorganization. I can't think of a single mental patient that would have ever got an A on a paper we put in a chart - put it that way. One very common thing you see is writing all over the page, into the margins, between lines, just totally disjointed mess. Sometimes writing over other writing. It is a sign of a disorganized mind. Sometimes you will see very real, detailed fantasies. Usually against someone in the person's past, or someone that they know in reality. But these people are dysfunctional. They are hospitalized, or incarcerated. This shooter was not dysfunctional with his living skills. He was clean they say, neat. He was living in a dorm and going to college, and he knew how to buy a gun. No, two. He could type, and use the computer just fine. He could navigate online. He was pretty organized mentally. Where his organization broke down, in his writing, was where the focus of his violence was. If you read the plays, look for his lack of focus with his anger. All the characters seem mad - not just one. There's no focus, so it all just gets caught and bounces around everywhere. There's no place for it to get out. But again, this is all looking at it hindsight. Surely thousands of people write violent material everyday. Art is a FORM of sublimation - it is a HEALTHY release for feelings of all kinds that you can't really deal with otherwise. Studies show that already boys in particular are feeling frustrated in their imaginations and creativity in school - art teachers constantly grapple with what images to allow. But in full disclosure, one of my final projects was a guy tied to a tree disemboweled with ghost faces in... [ Read More (0.2k in body) ] His writing dripped with anger....GROAN |

HENDERSON, Kentucky (AP) -- Police found a social worker slain in a western Kentucky home and issued an Amber Alert for the 10-month-old boy the woman had taken to the house for a visit with his mother, authorities said Tuesday. The child's mother, Renee Terrell, 33, of Henderson, did not have custody of her developmentally disabled son, police said. She and her boyfriend, Christopher Wayne Luttrell, 23, were both missing Tuesday and were believed to have the child. ..... "It's a dangerous job anytime you're taking someone's child away from their parents," Duncan said. "You know how protective parents can be." The article never mentions why it was neccessary for CPS to take the child in the first place. I'd think that should be a big part of the artile. I am suprised more social workers aren't killed. From what I've observed, I don't believe the legal system is fair or constitutional when it comes to CPS; it often leaves parents feeling backed into a corner and desparate. Missing Toddler Killed by Foster Parents |

Originally the autistic child was taken from biological parents when he was found wandering. Some autistic children are very difficult to keep up with 24/7 as they can unlock doors and sneak outside in the blink of an eye. Unfortunately, the decision to place this child in foster care has resulted in his murder and death. All to often, as this case once again shows, the real abuse comes from a result of money driven decisions made by the government. Half a million children a year are placed in foster care - and many of them are abused, molested, or DIE as a result of that placement. Missing Toddler Killed by Foster Parents |

"JonBenet. God, what a powerful thing, to just be alone with that little girl. That doll face. You know she was just so incredible in mind and so unreal in death. She's just so alive. She's so alive. She's so alive. I mean she's wonderful." 2001 Phone Conversation of John Mark Karr about JonBenet Ramsey |
