"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."

A bunch of the reviews just got hosed. The ann rice post and all reply's are gone. Like it never happened. dmv wrote: ] ] Seldom do I really answer those who criticize my work. I don't have a link for this, but this is all over eBAy tonight. About 1/4 of my sales this month came from half.com, and I also love to buy there. There's no better place I've found to buy textbooks. ------------------------------------------- 9/23/2004 8:12:00 PM SAN JOSE, Calif., Sep 23, 2004 (AP Online via COMTEX) -- EBay Inc. announced Thursday that it will keep its Half.com subsidiary open indefinitely, scrapping previous plans to shutter the e-commerce site in mid-October. CBS MARKETWATCH TOP NEWS EBay spokesman Hani Durzy said executives decided to keep Half.com open because it still generates revenue and brings customers to eBay. EBay does not break out traffic or revenue data specific to Half.com, but Durzy said that nearly half of all eBay listings for books, music, video and games come from Half.com sellers. "Half.com has continued to grow more than we anticipated," Durzy said. "Our first priority being to the marketplace, we recognized that frankly the best thing to do was to keep both platforms open." The San Jose-based online auction company purchased Half.com in a June 2000 stock swap. Some of Half.com's 65 employees in suburban Philadelphia may relocate to eBay's San Jose headquarters by the end of the year, or they will be eligible for severance packages..." |

A simple visual basic script could update the tables and fly under the radar.....diebold failed to include simple hashes to protect the integrity of the data.....Diebold states that no one would ever tamper with the data because there were heavy criminal penalties....experts say that the flaws show that Diebold is clearly unable to develop a secure system.... I thought it was an interesting coincidence that a state with questionable presidential election results would be pummeled by hurricanes just before the next election. Then I thought it was an interesting coincidence that the storms spared Miami, who voted for Gore in 2000. Just out of curiosity, I overlaid two map: one of the tracks of the hurricanes of 2004, and one of the election results of 2000. This is no longer an interesting coincidence. It is an unmistakable message from God. I hope everyone is listening. [ Heh. Funny. -k] message-from-God.gif (GIF Image, 744x900 pixels) |

Make SURE you watch the video. The woman should have been comforted and heard, not arrested. The mother of a dead soldier has made the absolute biggest sacrifice that can be made. As a mom of a young man that I love more than my own life, I really commisurate with her. I'd rather be dead myself than have something happen to him. I also admire her for her spunk. Bumble bee or Yellow Jacket? GA Tech has web identity crisis |

The new GA Tech site lacks the psychological punch that I'd expect from a high profile ass kicking football university. The colors remind me of a bumblebee instead of a yellow jacket. There's no sting. Its sterile and corporate. Its clean, but it doesn't make me wish I went to college there. I get the feeling looking at the site that the classes there would put me to sleep. And what's with that accessibility page? Do they REALLY want to bore users to death? Its not required to post this information, so why do it? Where's the privacy policy? Bumble bee or Yellow Jacket?
