"To laugh often and much; to win the respect of intelligent people and the affection of children; to earn the appreciation of honest critics and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived. This is to have succeeded."

The voices are beautiful, and the dancers are sensual beyond belief. This is one gorgeous video.
"LonelyGirl, aka a.k.a. “Bree,” presented herself as a home-schooled California high schooler with strict, religious parents. If only, it was left to the imagination of computer geeks the world over, a sensitive boy could take her away from all of that.
Given that a photo of Satanist Aleister Crowley also occupied her bedroom, some were led to think she was more complicated than she first appeared. Some speculated she may have been promoting a movie in the vein of “Blair Witch Project,” especially after an E-mail from her was traced to Hollywood’s giant dealmaker Creative Artists Agency.
Others, noting the quality of lighting and editing, the careful avoidance of mainstream (copyrighted) music and the fact that her Web site had been registered before the first video went up, figured she was some kind of hoaxer. They even observed that, when she yawned, she had wisdom teeth, unusual for a 16-year-old...
This week, however, the enigma code was broken, and LonelyGirl was revealed to be Jessica Rose, a New Zealand native living in the Los Angeles area, probably in her late teens. " (19 I read elsewhere)
State Overrides Feds to Give Fallen Wiccan Soldier his Chosen Symbol

Well, this has been a long time in coming. It is an ugly shame that the federal government would not agree to honor a fallen soldier's chosen relgion and give him the same rights others are afforded.
It is a DAMN ugly shame.
But thankfully the state of Nevada found a way to make it happen. They are hiring a contractor to make sure it happens.
This weekend I had a hole drilled through my skull. I read that this increased one’s consciousness permanently. I read about the supposed de-conditioning properties. I read about more parts of the brain working simultaneously as there would be more blood up there to help this happen. The arguments for it all seemed to be quite lengthy, quite detailed, thought out and researched, and very intelligent. The arguments against it were based solely on the opinion that it is ‘crazy’ and talk like, "What’s more conscious than conscious?". I heard from an acquaintance on telephone that she was glad she had done it, felt more mental energy, and had days of brilliance. I came to believe that the key to a permanent consciousness increase was a hole in the skull, to restore the full brain pulsation of infancy. After several months of research, discussion, speculation, watching surgical videos and trepanation documentaries, and even an actual viewing of a trepanation, I decided I certainly did want to be trepanned, and sought a way to do it.
I am most positive that the person that did that should be arrested for practicing medicine without a license.

2003 UB 313, formerly known as Xena, is a dwarf planet larger than Pluto. It just officially got a name. "ERIS"
From the article "In mythology, Eris caused a quarrel among goddesses that sparked the Trojan War. In real life, Eris forced scientists to define a planet that eventually led to Pluto getting the boot. Soon after Pluto's dismissal from the planet club, hundreds of scientists circulated a petition protesting the decision."
So when you are drawing the solar system, you can remember to leave some space to put Eris way on out there....

She's a cute girl, but if it is a marketing ploy, I have a feeling they are going to piss off a lot of homeschoolers. They are playing up the sterotype isolated homeschooled child angle a bit too much - so much, I'd say it is fake. "The only friend I met the whole time was a dog." WTF?
Originally the autistic child was taken from biological parents when he was found wandering. Some autistic children are very difficult to keep up with 24/7 as they can unlock doors and sneak outside in the blink of an eye.
Unfortunately, the decision to place this child in foster care has resulted in his murder and death.
All to often, as this case once again shows, the real abuse comes from a result of money driven decisions made by the government.
Half a million children a year are placed in foster care - and many of them are abused, molested, or DIE as a result of that placement.
