It looks a lot like that. Maybe worse - None of the disk was left of mine - it was just shards and some metal 0 rings flew out too.

I was burning a backup disk - had got up and was sorting some books, and heard a POW that sounded like something blew up over by my desk. My cat went crazy so I thought at first she did something really bad, then I saw all these pieces of CD everywhere.

MY WHOLE FREAKING CD exploded.

DAMNNNNNNNNNNNNN It literally BLEW UP.

I gotta buy a new one. This one is so busted, lol - the whole front of the drive came off, parts flew out of it. I never had that happen before. My son came in (it woke him up several rooms away) and was like "What happened?" - I'm like "Get me a garbage sack - My CD drive just exploded."

I didn't notice a crack on the disk....I looked at it pretty closely before I put it in too - it was a memorex disk.....DAMNNNNNNN
