Its just crap. They come in and subpeona Rackspace for the servers. Rackspace can't even tell the Independant Media why.

If it were not for the Independant Media's coverage of the NYC demonstrations during the Republican convention, I would still be believing that the mainstream media was more fair and balanced than some folks say.

The confiscation of the server has caused the Independant Media to no longer be available in places.

I wonder what would have happened if this had been CNN's hardware that was confiscated? Or Fox's?

They can come in and mirror a drive in no time to study. If they have to have the original they could at least leave a mirror. Why take the equipment? Is it OK for the FBI to take anyone's Internet business (data) away at a whim?
