I do not need to adapt to new technology because technology has nothing new to offer. That is an irresponsible and ridiculous system of thinking. Technology is ever changing, it's limitless. To think that someday technology will just stop, is no less primitive than thinking the world is flat and if we walk too far, we'll fall off the Earth. Resistance Is Futile |

I felt angry that she said that Americans do not hunger for a college degree. I believe that is not the truth. Yet again, I feel U.S. Secretary of Education Margaret Spellings is failing to see is that it is not only a case of obtaining financial aid but it is the question of how will a person let alone a family will live from month to month while trying to obtain their degree. Things To Do For My 'Inner Child' |

So I'm sitting in my Dilbert cubicle trying to put together a creative and entraining paragraph and failing. When I thought maybe if you have nothing original to write about then you should just avoid posting. I think that not posting is a legitimate choice. Why post junk one day and post good stuff the following Monday? Everyone knows that people will always remember your faults before remembering your good deeds. So I used up both my good creativity ideas for dehydrated days and couldn't think of anything else... until I stumbled upon this. Things To Do For My 'Inner Child' |

Summary: What is Dialysis I didn't really know anything about dialysis treatments, I didn't even know there was a difference between preventative and mandatory until I started doing some research. Hooking up to a machine that will act as an artificial kidney is a scary step for new patients and as well as family and friends. Not knowing what is what, I took the time to find out what it is. Dialysis is a procedure that is performed routinely on persons who suffer from acute or chronic renal failure. The process involves removing waste substances and fluid from the blood that are normally eliminated by the kidneys. Dialysis may also be used for individuals who have been exposed to or ingested toxic substances to prevent renal failure from occurring. Dialysis Among Us (First article) |

This is a regular topic I'm writing about a friend of mine that is going through dialysis and I'm hoping it helps someone else as well as myself. Summary: You have no family, a handful of close friends, your lying in a bed alone and scared and in pain and there are no nurses. 24 hours a day in a bed and if your lucky, it's only for a day or two. If you're very lucky, you'll only be there for a couple of hours. If your not lucky... The (not so) funny thing is that, I've been in hospitals countless times for my own medical concerns and yet, I didn't get it. I've read numerous articles about dialysis and understood all of the basics for the dialysis preparation and procedures. I knew what to expect and I was prepared to visit my friend and offer smiles, hugs and comforting words. I wasn't prepared. A World Without Nurses? |

C:\COFFEE.POT empty (A)bort (C)reate (F)all asleep? t is a daily routine for millions of Americans; the morning cup of coffee or a flavorful espresso in an aroma filled cafe on the way to work. Nevertheless, for years our favorite way of kick-starting the day has had a bad press. We have been told repeatedly that too much coffee can make people jittery and raise cholesterol levels, so experts stressed moderation. Now it seems the beans are turning and showing some new colors. In today's world, beauty for both men and women, should be only for one person in the world; you. Your beauty is a pleasure to both the mind and the senses, but is still highly subjective. When someone says to you "You are beautiful" The person speaking those words are revealing more about themselves than you. Questioning Your Beauty |
