No more sitting at work bored, or angry, wishing you were somewhere else shooting guns at live animals! Thanks to the Internet and robotics technology, soon you will be able to torture (not kill, at least not quickly) animals, real life animals, all from the comfort of your computer desk or cubical. Thought E-Commerce began and ended with a buy button on your remote control? Stop laughing, because the answer is an emphatic 'no'! Instead of making bids on a grilled cheese sandwich that carries the likeness of the Virgin Mary using EBay, you could be remotely shooting deer in Texas! Yeehaw! ] Underwood, an estimator for a San Antonio, Texas auto ] body shop, has invested $10,000 to build a platform for a ] rifle and camera that can be remotely aimed on his ] 330-acre (133-hectare) southwest Texas ranch by anyone on ] the Internet anywhere in the world. ] ] The idea came last year while viewing another Web site on ] which cameras posted in the wild are used to snap photos ] of animals. ] ] "We were looking at a beautiful white-tail buck and my ] friend said 'If you just had a gun for that.' A little ] light bulb went off in my head," he said. Oh, and what a little light bulb it was.. ] "First it was rocks and clubs, then we sharpened it and put ] it on a stick. Then there was the bow and arrow, black ] powder, smokeless power and optics," Berger said. "Maybe ] this is the next technological step out there." For those who cannot read between the lines here, there is an even more sadistic edge to this then the obvious. The rig spoken of in this article is only designed to fire a .22 caliber round. That is _not_ enough to kill a deer. Well, maybe if you where lucky enough hit it in a weak part of the skull at close to point blank range. That is a _very_ weak round, especially at any significant range. Its considered useful for target practice and that's about it. Its not a defensive round, its certainly not something you would use to humanely kill an animal in any way other then at point blank range. They use that round to kill animals in slaughterhouses, but they put it right up to the animal's skull. This sounds more like remote torture then remote hunting.. CNN | Point, click, bang! |

] Anyway, for this we also needed something moving or ] changing very fast, so we decided to build a bolt gun. Of ] course, bolt guns aren't very fun unless you can see, in ] great detail, the object they are hitting explode, so ] these two projects seemed like a match made in nerd ] heaven. With the aforementioned micro-controller, we ] simply had no choice but to build a flash timing ] mechanism to capture images of hot bolt-on-food action. The tale of what evils can occur when 3 nerds from MIT are bored over winter break. They build a bolt gun power by a BASIC stamp, that takes cool bolt-traveling-through-fruit-at high-velocity photos Fruit Killing bolt gun powered by BASIC! |

The Aztecs dubbed them "the flesh of the gods", Siberian shamans used them to enlighten their path to the spirit world, and they were the preserve of hippies and the pioneers of the psychedelic movement in the 1960s. But now magic mushrooms are at the centre of a new - and legal - retail boom. The UK has really been pumping up the drug supply lately. You have the impression that the disasters of the world do not touch you anymore? You feel vaguely sorry for other people's misfortunes but you don't feel the inner urge which used to make you help your neighbour ? WiFi-SM is the solution ! WiFi-SM is an Internet connected wireless device that you can fix on any part of your body. It automatically detects the information from approximately 4,500 news sources worldwide updated continuously and analyses them looking for specific keywords such as death, kill, murder, torture, rape, war, virus etc.. Each time the text of the news contains one of these keywords, your WiFi-SM device is activated through the Wi-Fi network and provides you with an electric impulse. This impulse is calibrated so that you can feel a certain amount of pain, but is completely safe. WiFi-SM: feel the global pain |

... and mine will have at least five dual-head workstations, at least 10 LCD TV screens tuned to every news channel on the planet, at least 5 different redundant means of getting a mobile Internet connection, and every type of sig-int equipment scanning every frequency possible for everything. All interior seating will be leather. All the machines will be centralized in a space in the back, so there will be no cabin noise.. The exterior will be completely black, even the spinning antennas.. Everything except the factory logo on the sides, which will be painted using some special nanotech hoah so it will only be visable at certain angles. Amphibious Motorcoach |
