] Italian police have arrested 28 Pakistani terror suspects ] they say formed "an al-Qaeda terrorist cell" in the ] southern city of Naples. ] ] "The men have been charged with association with ] international terrorism, illegal possession of explosive ] material, falsification of documents and receiving stolen ] goods" - Italian police statement ] ] The men were found with enough explosives to blow up a ] three-storey building in a routine check for illegal ] immigrants, officials said. ] ] Maps identifying local US and Nato targets were also ] seized during the raid. ] ] The suspects were later charged with terrorist offences, ] but Pakistan dismissed the accusations as baseless. Looks like they were plotting to go after NATO's southern European command. BBC NEWS | Pakistani 'al-Qaeda' suspects held in Italy |

Here's a complete text of one broadcast: "Attention Taliban! You are condemned. Did you know that? The instant the terrorists you support took over our planes, you sentenced yourselves to death. The Armed Forces of the United States are here to seek justice for our dead. Highly trained soldiers are coming to shut down once and for all Osama bin Laden's ring of terrorism, and the Taliban that supports them and their actions. "Our forces are armed with state of the art military equipment. What are you using, obsolete and ineffective weaponry? Our helicopters will rain fire down upon your camps before you detect them on your radar. Our bombs are so accurate we can drop them right through your windows. Our infantry is trained for any climate and terrain on earth. United States soldiers fire with superior marksmanship and are armed with superior weapons. "You have only one choice ... Surrender now and we will give you a second chance. We will let you live. If you surrender no harm will come to you. When you decide to surrender, approach United States forces with your hands in the air. Sling your weapon across your back muzzle towards the ground. Remove your magazine and expel any rounds. Doing this is your only chance of survival." All your base.. All your base.. All your base, are belong to us.. CNN | U.S. propaganda to Taliban |

Oh! I'd also say, "Monotheistic religion has always brought out the best in us humans; thank you so much for the idea of a vengeful supernatural entity who rewards people in the afterlife! That shit makes a lot of sense!" Yep, I'm one of those wacko people who things that religion is no longer needed by a modern thinking public. Of course, most of the public is still neither modern or thinking. If there is any 'growth group' in religion, its atheism and agnosticism. I think this is a "Good Thing". Another thought these comics induce, in the US it seems the precursor to the 'voice of reason' usually comes in the form of satire. Seems its easier for our 'modern thinking public' to attack emotional issues in an emotional context like humor. The true cynical and sarcastic attitude of the public rings thru in a undeniable way. In theory, conclusions based on logic should follow in other channels. To the authors its a way to express opinions over an emotional issue, to readers it may be inspiration for 'out of the box thinking' or mearly a needed escape. You can see the reason countries like China fear open and unregulated channels of communication. The sources of dangerous ideas start in what would seem to be harmless ways, such as satire. Religion isn't the only place. Cherish your satire. Destory your idols and gods. www.mnftiu.cc | get your war on |

"Perhaps it is too much to hope that we will respond to this shattering tragedy as well as the Israelis, who have a long history of preventing similar atrocities by encouraging their civilians to carry concealed weapons and to shoot back at criminals and terrorists. But it is in that policy of a distributed response to a distributed threat, with every single citizen taking personal responsibility for the defense of life and freedom, that our best hope for preventing recurrences of today's mass murders almost certainly lies." Well, ESR is still the voice for all gun carrying libertarian Open Source coders. I like ESR, so I am upset to say I disagree in some way with virtually every sentence in this essay. Its uninformed, biased, and holds no value. He is always biased, but usually fairly informed and tends to make observations with some degree of value. The man is credited with starting the Open Source Uber Alles phenom after all. In short, don't count on holding this one in the same reguard as such fine essays like "Collateral Damage: Reflections on Timothy McVeigh", "Why I am am Anarchist", or the legendary "Ethics from the Barrel of a Gun". He has gone soft! Although I do still fully support his "Geeks with Guns" program. Now if I can only get my tongue out of my damn cheek I would be ok. I want to be ok. Ok is good. We should all be ok.. That would be good. Decentralism Against Terrorism |

One involved a planned hang-glider attack on the Liman Turra Prison complex near Cairo to liberate Jihad leaders, some of whom had been locked up since the Sadat assassination. According to the plan, Jihad hang-gliders would swoop off a nearby mountain into the prison grounds, setting off explosives and causing a panic to allow the jailbreak to occur. In about 1990, on Mohamed's orders, Dahab said, he took hang-glider lessons in San Francisco. "After I completed a course on the flying of gliders in the United States, (Mohamed) asked me to travel to Afghanistan with a model glider to train the Egyptian elements present there," he said. "Several are focusing on a letter that arrived at the company about a week before the Sept. 11 terrorist attack. It was described by sources as a ?weird love letter to Jennifer Lopez??similar, outwardly, to the types of mail the tabloids often get. But inside the oddly-worded letter was what was described as a ?soapy, powdery substance? and in the pile of that a cheap Star of David charm. The letter, per routine, was taken in by the joint mailroom of the company. Employees said the letter was handled both by Stevens and by Blanco." And now it starts to sprial out of control.. Anthrax Uber Alles. Its going to be bigger then Amy Fisher! Bigger then Gary Condit! Bigger then OJ! Everyone is going to want Anthrax! Its going to be the hip new thing! Anthrax on TV!
