On the morning of October 27, Thomas Friedman gave a keynote address at the United Nations in which he outlined the key themes of his next book, "The World is Flat: A Brief History of the Twenty-first Century."

It is liable to make you think, "I could have written that." But Friedman regularly drips with clue, his audience is a big one, and it can't be a bad thing.
