Will Microblogging (Twitter) kill Blogging?
Topic: Business 11:43 pm EST, Jan  4, 2009

Wait a minute, does that seem like a real blog to you? That’s the idea behind microblogging. 140 characters or less and a picture is worth a thousand words. Some bloggers, especially the more verbose writers, may wonder if microblogging is actually killing the art of blogging in general. One of the biggest services for this style of writing is in Twitter, first launched in 2006.

"Some days you feel like riding and some days you don't...but, when you gotta have it, cycling makes you feel unreal good...

Yesterday, I felt like crap, didn't want to ride, but I forced myself to do about 45 minutes riding around the neighborhood on my full suspension bike...at night. Good thing my diy-bicycle-light was still kicking a$$ big time. Got home, but still felt pretty crappy..."

Black Diamond Cobras. No surprise here. By now, you have likely heard your significant other yearn for this set of toys. The sticker shock is a tad rough, but I am sure they do not expect you to throw down the cash for the whole set. Buy one for a Christmas present, and then let him or her pony up for the other one.

Family, Friends and Professional Blogging?
Topic: Business 2:04 am EST, Dec 24, 2008

Should you talk about your family, share their pictures and home movies on your blog? Obviously, if you have a personal website that exists mainly to communicate with friends or family the answer is a resounding yes. (And don’t forget more footage of the new baby!) However, if you’re a professional who is promoting a product, whether an artist or a businessperson, this is a question that deserves more consideration. Consider the pros and cons of posting more “personal” glimpses into your life, besides just news related to the product.

My only motivation is to give good content is to get credibility in return. Its not about making money. If you give good content, you build good credibility and money is going to follow.Inspiration is something that comes when you engage. Lot of people do not engage themselves.

Ski Back into the Future- Rugged Touring Demystified
Topic: Business 2:48 am EST, Dec 22, 2008

"In the early 90’s, sampling opened up a new realm of musical exploration for artists- any genre from any era could now be freely used and recombined to create new sounds and styles of music. Backcountry ski touring has also undergone a similar trend of sampling. Think of today’s state-of-the-art ski touring equipment as the Vanilla Ice of backcountry snow travel!
What is Rugged Touring? Essentially, it is using skis as a winter backcountry travel tool to allow the most effective mode of transportation possible, over snow, through mountain valleys, peaks, and passes. It incorporates elements of X-country, telemark, and ski mountaineering. It selects freely from generations of tried and true equipment and combines them with the best ski technology available today.
