Intentionally misleading comparisons are becoming the dominant mode of public discourse.

In these instant-messaging, 500-cable-channel times, the emphasis is on communicating for the sake of communicating rather than on having something meaningful to say.

Amen to that. Without the SAT to keep the youngsters in line, pretty soon we're going to need grammar police!
