Now, I'll freely admit that I'm a gamer, however, this is somewhat akin to spending the majority of your life trying to make the perfect silent film. Donkey Kong is a classic, but come on..... CNN.com - Man sets new Donkey Kong record |

Spike Lee sued Viacom over their proposed rebranding of the cable network, TNN, to "Spike TV". I swear, if anybody even so much as thinks about "nox tv", I'm on them like R. Kelly on a school bus. Spike Lee's head has just officially gotten stuck in the Holland tunnel. |

I knew George Lucas was dillusional, but HOLY SHIT! If anything, Starwars: Galaxies has had the shittiest release of any mmorpg ever. Most people couldn't even get registered on the first day, not to mention the glaring game bugs. The release of Anarchy Online was terrible, however, in the realm of shitty releases, SWG makes AO its bitch. Starwars Galaxie: LIES LIES, BLOODY LIES!!!! |

A US appeals court yesterday upheld an order against peer-to-peer service Madster, formerly known as Aimster. The unanimous decision said that the company could not escape claims of copyright infringement by an approach of "wilful blindness" that gives users the ability to mask the identity of files that they swap across the network. ] On 25 April 2003, the newspaper Dagbladet (Norway) ] published photos of armed US soldiers forcing Iraqi ] men to walk naked through a park. ] On the chests of the men had been scrawled an Arabic ] phrase that translates as "Ali Baba - Thief." ] A military officer states that the men are thieves, ] and that this technique will be used again. I agree that order must be created in Iraq. The question is, who should create this order, and how should they create it? Soldiers live in a world of strict rules, and strict punishments. Did this soldier act as though he was taught to act? I believe so. Was he taught to act appropriately when dealing with this sort of situation, given the volatile nature of the society? No. You send soldiers to kill people. You can even send soldiers to keep the peace. However, don't send them when diplomacy is a large issue. Doesn't the military have MPs over there that can deal with the punishment of criminal offenses? If not, they should. The Memory Hole: US Forces Make Iraqis Strip and Walk Naked in Public |

] Japanese bookstores are set to launch a national campaign ] to stop so-called "digital shoplifting" by customers ] using the lastest camera-equipped mobile phones. ] ] The Japanese Magazine Publishers Association says the ] practice is "information theft" and it wants it stopped. This is a very interesting situation. On one hand, I don't think that magazine companies should worry too much about the "information theft" of one picture. However, if people were taking pictures of entire articles and sending them, I could see their concern. The whole point comes down to the fact that the technology industry continues to grow at a rate which most other industries can't cope with. As technology advances, the free flow of information grows. Companies that understand this paradigm and embrace it, will prosper. Those companies that choose to ignore or combat the paradigm, will falter, and die. BBC NEWS | Asia-Pacific | Japan's 'digital shoplifting' plague |
