'American Idol' cast-off cashing in on his celebrity |

] In the next logical step for a pop vocalist with ] questionable vocals, "American Idol" reject and UC ] Berkeley civil engineering major William "She Bangs" Hung ] has banged out a record deal. ] ] Hung's accidental superstardom took its latest incredible ] turn Monday when KOCH Records and Fuse Music Network, ] both of New York, announced they had signed the Hong Kong ] native to a multi-album deal. Because fame is fleeting, ] Hung spent the weekend recording a 10-song album ] tentatively called "The True Idol." It is scheduled for ] release on April 6. ] ] "It's fun, it's exciting, and I want to see how the album ] turns out," Hung, 21, said Monday, adding that there was ] a lesson in his success: "Never give up on your dreams. ] Keep going. ] Genesee County %u2014 (02/18/04)--Two separate sex ] scandals were involving Genesee County corrections ] officers Wednesday. Six deputies -- two men and four ] women -- have been fired. Michael Rosenfield had more ] details. ] ] Five deputies are accused of allowing two inmates to have ] sex with each other inside the jail. Another deputy is ] accused of having sex with an inmate who was on the ] tether program. All six deputies are now out of jobs and ] one faces criminal charges. ] ] Inside the Genesee County Jail, authorities say five ] corrections officers allowed two inmates -- a male and ] female -- to have sex with each other.
