An interesting approach to solving pollution

For $160 you can turn a Hummer H2 into a zero-emissions vehicle. No tools or mechanical ability are required.

If you like Coldplay, you will love this band too. Its uncanny how similar they sound. But its a good thing, because I *heart* coldplay. Thanks to Tyree and Alisa for the recommendation!

] In an open letter to the National Institutes of Health,
] 758 microbiologists assert that since 9/11, biodefense
] projects have drained money from the basic
] infectious-disease research needed to fight existing
] epidemics. So Wired asked John McGowan, the man who
] allocates NIH funds for both, whether public health is a
] casualty of the war on terror

Wired interviewed John McGowan from the NIH about budgeting for science, post- 9/11. I think this entire (and I might add, very short) interview is total crap. Is it just me, or is every answer he gives totally defensive? As someone who is watching the budget from the inside (much like the microbiologists who petitioned), I *do* believe that our budget is decreasing. Now, whether that is because it is being allocated to anti-terrorism research or something else, I am not sure, but I see the effects of the lack of funding every day.
