This is a fairly extreme example, but Atlanta has really taken to "new urbanism." The idea is that in typical suburban "zoning" you work, live, shop, and go to school in different places, and the result is that you interact with different people in each place. Therefore you tend not to care about them. By doing all of these things in the same place you form stronger bonds with the other people in your community. INFOTO : Mega City Pyramid TRY 2004 |

Thus every step toward war fills Bush pockets quite literally with gold. That's the way they operate, these liars and thieves in thousand-dollar suits, these secretive fronts who profit from war, fear, blood and greasy palms. They arm the "monsters," they disarm the monsters, making money both ways. Then they drape themselves with Bible and flag, like smug pimps promenading to church, singing "Glory Hallelujah" while the whole world burns. War is Golden for the Bush Administration |

Britain's Intelligence Dossier on Iraq was Plagiarized from a Grad Student |

Feb. 6, 2003, 2230 hrs, PST, (FTW) - A story is sweeping the world tonight and it says a great deal about those who are forcing the world into a war it does not want. The famed dossier presented by British Prime Minister Tony Blair to his Parliament was plagiarized from two articles and a September 2002 research paper submitted by a graduate student. Worse, the Iraq described by the graduate student is not the Iraq of 2003 but the Iraq of 1991. So glaring was the theft of intellectual property that the official British document even cut and pasted whole verbatim segments of the research paper, including grammatical errors, and presented the findings as the result of intense work by British intelligence services. U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell both praised and quoted that same British report in his presentation at the United Nations yesterday. Daily headline propaganda from a British perspective. Delight in these whimsy: "BUSH ADMINISTRATION: DEFINITELY NOT LIKE NAZIS (POSTED 26 09 02) Whitehouse spokesman Ari Fleischer (no relation) has said the Bush Administration "are nothing like the Nazis in 1930s Germany." He explained "the Nazis were militaristic bullies convinced they were the master race. They wanted to invade other countries to boost their own economy. They wanted to weed out imperfect human specimens using genetic science. They used the cinema as propaganda for the masses. And they subsidised major corporations to pioneer weapons of mass destruction. Hope that cleared everything up. Now - can we please stop all this nastiness and start invading Poland. I mean Iraq.""
