A national black Republican group is running a radio advertisement accusing Democrats of starting the Ku Klux Klan and saying the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a Republican, a claim challenged by civil-rights researchers.

This is a combination of the stupidest and most offensive thing I think I've seen in a while. Let's ignore that the Democrats and "Dixiecrats" split about 50 years ago, and let's ignore that those same pieces of crap are now the "base," we're going to do anything we can, lie, cheat, steal, whatever, to see if we can win.
