At the insistence of the Bush administration, Graves resigned on March 10, 2006. Graves has said publicly that he believes his dismissal was the result of clashes he had with his superiors for not aggressively pursuing voting-fraud cases.
Still more on the Attorney mess. They've moved into stealing elections and are getting caught doing so. I realize this has happened before, Tammany Hall and the Chicago slogan of "vote early, vote often" come to mind, but in all of those cases, the people who did so are reviled if not despised.
