It doesn't look like we'll be getting a Harold & Kumar 3 for a while: Kal Penn has quit acting. But it's not for the Joaquin Phoenix reasons or even the Viggo Mortensen reasons. Penn is taking a job in the White House.
Kumar escapes Guantanamo Bay, and lands in the White House. Kal Penn Goes to Work for Obama - Get The Big Picture - |

But what hurts me the most is that I work just as hard as any other actress around my age, like Scarlett Johansson, but I just don't get the opportunities that they get because people are so distracted by the mess that I created in my life.
ummmm... Right! Duh! I'm Sure Michael Vick worked just as hard as other football players. Too bad about that thing with hooking up dogs balls to car batteries. But that doesn't have anything to do with what he does on the... Oh wait, it does. People don't want to deal with someone who's a total whack job. I'm not sure how to say this, but I've decided Clooney is about the coolest guy working movies today. It's just a random paparazzi shot on a boat and he still looks cool. Damn. Clooney channels Cary Grant |

Meet Bianca. Just Bianca. Like Bjork. Or Borat. She captivated those who caught her debut at the film festival here last month in the unconventional comedy Lars and the Real Girl. The rest of the world will be able to experience the magic that is Bianca starting Friday.
WTF? Let me make note that the title is a reference, then I can freely repeat, WTF? 'Lars' star Bianca isn't just your average movie actress - USATODAY.com |

Movie review time! Fast, screwed up, and funny as hell. If you're into screwed up action movies (with sex, drugs and some funny choices on the soundtrack thrown in) this one should be right up the alley. Crank (2006) |

The movie itself though isn't bad. It's well paced, reasonably quick, if a bit predictable, has one specific plot hole you can drive a truck through (I'll not say what it is because it would be a big spoiler) and overall, it's decent enough.
No politics this time, it's my movie review for Poseiden. Pretty good in some respects, not so good in others. Maybe it'll help you decide where to spend that movie money. American Dissent: Sinking Ship |

Yep, it's a link to Amazon. I don't care. If you haven't seen this movie, you need to. If you have seen it, you need to see it again. This movie won 4 statues of Oscar, and was nominated for 6 more. Amazon.com: Network (Two-Disc Special Edition): DVD |

But Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed "Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo" while passing on the opportunity to participate in "Million Dollar Baby," "Ray," "The Aviator," "Sideways" and "Finding Neverland." As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.
Wow. I don't remember the last time Ebert blasted a movie like this. :: rogerebert.com :: Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo |

In 1973, he complained to his dentist, who advised him: "Jimmy, you're going to be Scotty long after you're dead. If I were you, I'd go with the flow." "I took his advice," said Doohan, "and since then everything's been just lovely."
