] There has been quite a lot of activity in the Red Hat
] case.
]
]
] SCO filed a Motion to Dismiss the action in its entirety,
] as you know, and Red Hat filed its answering brief. But
] since we last reported on this case, Red Hat initiated
] discovery. They asked SCO for documents and for answers
] to some pointed questions. IBM is forcing SCO into a
] corner in Utah, and Red Hat is forcefully and
] aggressively trying to do the same in Delaware.

there's a lot on this page about the SCO situation. Basically, it appears something real may happen, and perhaps SCO can show once and for all if it's truly been wronged or if they've been pulling off a very successful pump and dump scheme [ one of the posts on the page has the quote "Senior vice president Reginald Broughton has led the pack, offloading 170,000 shares since June for an estimated gain of $1.13 million. Broughton now owns only 95,000 shares in the company. " Hmmm. ].

] Council executive Tim Cooper says the decision to invite
] [Ollie] North and [Ann] Coulter came from a desire to hold
] a rally for patriotism. That's like sponsoring a cockfight
] to celebrate the spirit of competition.

as if we didn't already know it, these days "patriotism" == "hard core conservatism" + "mindless flag waving"

] U.S. consumer spending accounts for around 20 percent of

a very interesing and frightening article. I am personally carrying a little under 30,000 in debt, mostly in education loans, and i think i'm in pretty good shape relative to many people i know.

HAH! The humor in that aside, some things do seem, uh, incongruous when they're all pieced together. Either way, it sucks to get canned for doing your job well.
