40th moon of Jupiter spotted |

] "The moon has an estimated diameter of 2.2 miles (3.5 km) ] and a 748-day orbit around Jupiter, according to a recent ] announcement from the International Astronomical Union, ] the world authority on celestial object discoveries in ] the solar system." A recent issue of "Sky and Telescope" magazine brought up the question of "what really counts as a moon?". I think we'll never find out exactly how many moons Jupiter or Saturn or Uranus have because these giant planets probably just pull in anything that floats by close enough. I think there needs to be some sort of guideline for what's actually a moon and what's just a rock that got pulled in. But I'm no astronomer. Or philosopher, for that matter. 40th moon of Jupiter spotted |

Hundreds of Muslim Immigrants Rounded Up in Calif. |

] "LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Hundreds of Iranian and other ] Middle East citizens were in southern California jails on ] Wednesday after coming forward to comply with a new rule ] to register with immigration authorities only to wind up ] handcuffed and behind bars." Are you fucking kidding me? Did I go to sleep and wake up in a nightmare? My boyfriend's parents risked their very lives fleeing Hungary in the 1970's to have a child in this country, a country free of communism, and now 30 years later, America is on its way to something similar? We're all immigrants, that's what this country is made of, and now we are jailing young men who came here looking for a better life, just as our ancestors did years ago, simply because they are from countries that "scare" us?!? How come there's no other news about this? This country is rapidly turning into a place that i can't defend anymore. Hundreds of Muslim Immigrants Rounded Up in Calif. |

] "In 1999, construction began on a new breed of attack ] submarines that won't have a periscope. Each new submarine will be equipped ] with two photonics masts, which are basically arrays of ] high-resolution cameras that capture and send visual ] images to flat-panel displays in the control room." Nifty. Now you know. This section also has lots of links to a lot of other interesting pages about the Virginia class submarines. My job is neat. Finally every EF lens will work the same on a digital SLR as it does on your 35mm film cameras, with the same coverage. Even for wide-angle shooters. *drool* This is what i have been waiting for.. I want this. Badly. I can use my current lenses with it, and I can hook this bad boy up to my telescope without buying any more equipment. Jessica likes. ] Housed in a trailer-shaped structure that was formerly a ] tavern, Olio is nestled next to a bowling alley and the ] ghost town that was once an auto kingdom. Finally! A review for this restaurant! It's right near my house, by the bowling alley we bowl at, and every time we drive past this place, there's a billion people there. But I won't eat anywhere until I hear that it's good. Apparently this place is good. I'm there. Finally, a review for 'Olio'!!!!!!!!!! |
