] "The Dodge Kahuna concept has an interior that can be ] transformed into a lounge, with a front passenger seat ] that can flip around to face the back and second-row ] seats that fold down to form tables." We've got a friend who is an engineer for Ford, who went to this auto show this year, and he says that most of the concept cars never make it to production. Thank God. The Secret War on Condoms |

"In the time it has taken to read this column, 28 people have died of AIDS, including 5 children. An additional 49 people have become infected. It's imperative that we get over our squeamishness, accept that condoms are flawed but far better than nothing, recognize that condoms no more cause sex than umbrellas cause rain, and ensure that couples in places like Botswana get more than one condom per year." I have a wonderful solution for people who a) don't want to use condoms, b)who still want to prevent AIDS and STD's, and c) who don't want to give up sex: Only fuck virgins. Teen charged with poisoning friend |

] "A teenager was charged Thursday with first-degree murder ] for allegedly killing a romantic rival by spiking his ] soda with cyanide." Blame what you will on video games and music. But this kid reads too much Shakespeare. I'm sure that the girl fell madly in love with him and they'll live happily ever after. At 17. Is love so serious at 17 that it can drive people to kill? I remember when I was 17, and in love, and I remember what was serious to me back then. Nothing that would have driven me to kill. Teen charged with poisoning friend |

At a Texas Foundry, an Indifference to Life |

] "It is said that only the desperate seek work at Tyler ] Pipe, a sprawling, rusting pipe foundry out on Route 69, ] just past the flea market. Behind a high metal fence lies ] a workplace that is part Dickens and part Darwin, a dim, ] dirty, hellishly hot place where men are regularly ] disfigured by amputations and burns, where turnover is so ] high that convicts are recruited from local prisons, ] where some workers urinate in their pants because their ] bosses refuse to let them step away from the ] manufacturing line for even a few moments." This is part one of three. I urge you to read the other two articles also. If this doesn't enrage you, I don't know what will. I cannot believe companies can get away with this shit. Manufacturing is dangerous, people can be (and are) killed doing it, and this company is just out to make a profit, no matter what the cost. At a Texas Foundry, an Indifference to Life |

Do They Eat Human Fetuses in China? |

For anyone who truly believes that this guy ACTUALLY eats human fetuses. It really bugs me when urban legends make "real news" headlines. Just today I received an email from someone at work about how I should "IGNORE ALL MESSAGES FROM MONKEYMAN 935", should he try to contact me, "HE'S WANTED FOR THE MURDER OF 56 WOMEN HE MET ONLINE". I wish Snopes.com wasn't blocked from work. But about.com does a pretty fine job of also debunking urban legends. Do They Eat Human Fetuses in China? |
