The Claritin over-the-counter dilemma
Topic: Health and Wellness 3:14 pm EDT, Apr 23, 2003

] The newest option is Singulair, an anti-asthma
] tablet now found to also ease allergies' itching,
] sneezing and congestion. It targets a different
] symptom-causing substance, leukotrienes, and thus can be
] used together with steroid sprays or antihistamines. Like
] the previous two categories, it has few side effects.

I must say, I'm REALLY impressed with Singulair's ability not only to keep me from having trouble with my asthma, but also it's amazing how well it works on allergies. I was wondering why I'm the only one around who's not been bothered by pollen during the past few days (the pollen levels here right now have warranted a "special weather statement"). Then it dawned on me: it's the Singulair. Yay! BRING ON THE SPRING AND THE TREES, BABY!
