Health: Yellow fever vaccination certificates are required by anyone arriving from infected areas, and immunisation is recommended for all visitors travelling outside the main cities. No other vaccinations are required for entry to Nigeria, but there is a high risk of malaria, typhoid and hepatitis (A & B) and visitors should seek the latest medical advice on inoculations at least three weeks prior to departure. At present there is a high risk of polio infection in northern Nigeria, as well as regular outbreaks of cholera and meningitis. HIV/AIDS is prevalent. Nigeria has the world's highest rate of Onchocerciasis, or river blindness, which is caused by black flies that breed in fast-flowing rivers. Bilharzia, dengue fever and sleeping sickness also occur.

DEERFIELD BEACH, Fla. - There’s something lurking in the water at several south Florida beaches. Hundreds of swarming sharks, some as close as 10 feet offshore, have closed down beaches in Broward and Palm Beach counties. "The water clarity has been so good" that it's been easier than usual to see the annual migration, Bob Taylor, superintendent for lifeguards at Delray Beach, told NBC's "Today" show.
The video is amazing - 100s of sharkies, a massive swarm of em, swimming North. I hope a good swell gets here before they arrive and close out the beach. Sharks clear out south Florida beaches - U.S. news- msnbc.com |

A sort of steampunk emporium, it contained, among other items, innumerable sextants, globes, ship captain’s spy glasses, the brass weighted boots from an ancient diver’s outfit, and a bowl of “tiger tooths”. We now present, with great excitement, pictures from the Grand Bazaar, and the steampunk delight we found within.

This place attempts to recreate ancient mexican food, borrowing dishes from Aztec and Mayan traditions. Although I haven't sampled the worms, grasshoppers and fly eggs, I'm sure they are great because everything else here is amazing. This is the best Mexican food I have ever had. Located just off the Zocalo in Mexico City, this place is my favorite restaurant world wide. The tequila is the bomb. Maestro Tequilero. Smoothest I've ever had, and served with a home brewed bloody mary mix and a strange sauce concoction in a hollowed out cucumber, salted and spiced around the rim. A-TRAIN Atlanta Transit/Bike/Walk Trip Planner (MARTA) |

The A-TRAIN Trip Planner is an interactive online utility provided to help Atlanta residents and visitors get around the city by foot, bicycle, and transit. This resource is produced and maintained by volunteers from Citizens for Progressive Transit, a non-profit advocacy organization, as a non-commercial, open-source project. Initial funding for the project has been provided by Friends of the Earth. How the Trip Planner Works The goal of this utility is to give users maximum flexibility in planning car-free trips around Atlanta. Users specify their start and end locations, a departure or arrival time, and any other preferences relevant to the specific type of trip. Currently, four trips types are supported: 1. Walk-Only Trips: These trips are completed entirely on foot, and are the simplest type of trip in terms of user input into the utility; in addition to start/end locations and time, the only variable is walking speed. This option will return the shortest trip possible using walkable facilities, which is defined to include all publicly accessible roadways and footpaths other than those where pedestrian traffic is expressly forbidden (e.g. expressways). Currently, no consideration is made for the specific level of pedestrian accommodations on a walkable facility; this feature may be added in a future version. 2. Bike-Only Trips: These trips are completed entirely by bicycle. When this option is selected, the utility will find the optimal legal route between two points based on user-specified cycling preferences. It is assumed that the cyclist will always ride in the street (it is against the law in Georgia for adults to ride on the sidewalk) and will observe one-way street restrictions and other traffic regulations.

Camping – an Exciting Adventure for Young and Old Imagine it’s early in the evening and you and a small group of friends are trying to make a campfire. You collect dry woods, put everything on a pile and then hope that the wind isn’t too strong to blow it out immediately. You are successful and now gather around the fire. Everyone packs out their food and soon, the typical smell of barbecue hangs in the air. For dessert, you all brought marshmallows, crackers and chocolate. You hear the surf break on the cliffs, the wind in the trees, birds sing, taste the salt in the breezy air and see the sun setting over the ocean. It’s a perfect day out in nature, at a campground on the northeastern coast of Oahu. After the barbecue, you can go for a night swim, walk around, or play card games on the beach. At night, millions of stars appear in the sky. It’s very different than the sky in town with all the city lights shining brightly. There are more than a dozen beach parks on Oahu that allow camping. One of the best campgrounds on the windward coast is the Malaekahana State Recreation Area (Kahuku Section), between Kahuku and Laie, about 55 yards (50m) off Kamehameha Highway, directly on the beach. There are three campgrounds at Malaekahana Bay. This one is the northernmost of the three.
