A record producer's plans to turn the historic Medical Arts building into a 140-room boutique hotel have fallen through. The 12-story building, which was built 78 years ago but has been vacant since the mid-1990s, is located just a few blocks from the site of the $200 million Georgia Aquarium and would also be within walking distance of parts of both downtown and Midtown.
