Until this week, this phone was unheard of, presumably hiding away in the shadows. But a recent report by BGR revealed that Google are hard at work on their next Nexus handset after the Nexus S, and once again it looks like it’s going to send shockwaves throughout the industry. With potential specs such as a dual-core 1.5Ghz processor, a ‘monster’ 720p display screen, 1GB of RAM, 4G LTE support and 1080p HD you can probably forgive us for already calling this Google’s new superphone. There are even suggestions that this phone could be equipped with Nvidia’s upcoming quad-core Kal-El processor, but we doubt we’ll see that come to the public until 2012 so that aspect is probably ruled out. However, despite that mouthwatering processor potential, the one big factor that’s gonna get everyone talking this weekend is the fact that the Nexus 4G is lined up to be Google’s flagship handset that will ship with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich – joining the the exclusive club of the Nexus One, the Nexus S and the Motorola Xoom to get the latest versions of Android before any other device. Of course we don’t know what final specs the iPhone 5 will end up having, but strong guesses are an edge-to-edge 4 inch display, an A5 dual-core processor, an 8 megapixel camera and of course iOS 5 right out of the box. Whatever it does end up possessing, Google’s Nexus 4G is going to be right up there in terms of competition, you could even argue that the Nexus 4G will blow the iPhone 5 out of the water rocking a 1.5Ghz dual-core and Android 4.0 – that’s probably best reserved for another argument though. After reading these initial details on the Nexus 4G, do you believe that it has the potential to be a genuine, bona fide iPhone 5 killer or not? Early days yet, but we’re throwing it out there regardless. Follow Us - Twitter | Like Us - Facebook | Follow Us - Digg | Newiphone5.net Nexus 4G VS iPhone 5 |
