Over 40 of the children currently behind bars in Colorado have no hope of ever being released. They were sentenced, while still under 18, to life without parole - in violation of international human rights law. The rest of society doesn't realize that we've changed the laws in this country, so that there is no other country that matches it in terms of what we do to our juveniles. None. Zero. In the world. "A 14-year-old schoolboy is currently being questioned about allegations he found schoolgirl prostitutes for an accused pedophile teacher, police said Sunday... "[Former high school teacher and football coach] James Michael Carr, 38, of Conneautville, pleaded guilty yesterday to corruption of minors... Authorities said Carr offered the teens - now 18 and 14 years old - marijuana, cocaine and methamphetamines earlier this year at a motel and in his home. Mexico's legal system recognizes that all people have a fundamental desire to be free. And it does not punish them for pursuing it, as some inmates recently did by disguising themselves as female visitors and tunneling to freedom using a sardine can as a shovel...
