I think even the Psychic friends network could have seen this coming... Luckily, nobody lost an ear this time around. WASHINGTON (AP) -- Mike Tyson's career apparently ended in yet another shocker Saturday night when he quit on the stool after taking a beating in a foul-filled sixth round against unheralded Kevin McBride. Tyson lost for the third time in his last four fights, and once again he faded badly as the rounds went on before deliberately head butting McBride in a desperate attempt to end the fight in the sixth round. "I don't have the stomach for this anymore," Tyson said. "I most likely won't fight anymore. I'm not going to disrespect the sport by losing to this caliber of fighters." Tyson was out of gas when he was pushed to the canvas as the sixth round ended, his head stuck between the first and second ropes. He stayed there for several seconds before finally untangling himself from the ropes and wobbling back to his corner.

Ok, maybe sumo was a relevant sport in the day of the Shogun... but apparently it's practitioners are still living in that moment... TOKYO (Reuters) - A tussle has broken out in Japan's tradition-bound sumo world over the right to wear pants in the ring. Gargantuan sumo wrestlers generally compete naked but for a "mawashi," an arrangement of wrapped cloth that preserves a bare minimum of modesty. Sumo's amateur association hit upon the idea of allowing shy youngsters to wear "sumo pants," a more substantial garment similar to cycling shorts, to try to boost the dwindling numbers of children taking up the sport, the daily Yomiuri Shimbun said on Thursday. "Pubescent kids are not going to want to take part if they don't look cool," Yomiuri quoted one local amateur sumo official as saying. The sport's professional body, the Nihon Sumo Kyokai, however, has made clear that it will not allow wrestlers in pants to take part in youth tournaments at the venerable national stadium in Tokyo, the paper said. "The national stadium has its rules and ways of doing things," the paper quoted a Sumo Kyokai spokesman as saying. "We have no intention of allowing children in pants into the ring." How 'bout them Titans! Tennessee Titans left tackle Brad Hopkins was arrested Monday in Franklin, Tenn., and charged with domestic assault against his wife. Cpl. Carrie George of the Williamson County Sheriffs Department, said Hopkins would remain in jail for 12 hours until early Tuesday in accordance with state law. He has a bond of $1,000. Franklin police did not comment on the charges. No one answered Hopkins cell phone when called by The Associated Press. Mark Bartelstein, Hopkins agent, had no immediate comment. We are aware of the situation involving Brad, Titans spokesman Robbie Bohren said in a statement. We are in the process of gathering all the facts. Hopkins, a first-round draft pick by the then-Houston Oilers in 1993, has been starter since his rookie season. He is married to Ellen Hopkins and has three children. ... Hopkins is the third Titans starter to be arrested this offseason. Cornerback Samari Rolle was charged with domestic assault Feb. 15. He was later cut and signed with Baltimore. Safety Tank Williams was arrested for driving under the influence two days later. Another Titan arrested for domestic assault |

NHL Hockey is just another seasonal business and if it can't make a profit, it will cease to be in business. Maybe this will have a slight domino effect and help reign all professional sports into line. Nahh. Doubt it. RE: NHL rejects $52M US salary cap offer: report |

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (AP) -- Mike Tyson saved one more shocking sight for last. Beaten and battered, Tyson laid helplessly along the ropes Friday night, blood flowing down his face. The former baddest man on the planet stared ahead with a look of resignation on his face as his latest comeback -- and perhaps his tumultuous career -- collapsed with stunning suddenness. Unheralded British heavyweight Danny Williams did to Tyson what he had done to so many of his opponents in his prime, knocking him out with a savage flurry in the fourth round that may have finally exposed Tyson as a shot fighter at age 38. ... The crowd of 17,253 came to see a knockout by Tyson, and when Tyson rocked Williams with a big uppercut and some left hooks in the first two rounds it looked like they would get what they came for. But Tyson was cut in the third round, and Williams showed he was going to be the bully in this fight. He hit Tyson on the break, losing a point, then hit him low, and the referee took another point. The bully was being bullied, and Tyson couldn't stand up to it. About freakin time. Tyson KO'd in 4th |

Now I have truly seen it all... Maybe I have reached the end of the internet. Maybe it's just those whacky Germans again. Football mania while urinating ! It will make mens hearts leap and make the womens league give a loud groan. "klokicker the footaball-urinal-sieve" ... is a green plastic inset for a urinal, with a football goal installed on top. A football dangles in front of the goal. The accuracy the male guests are capable of is now on the line and they have to "KICK" the ball into the goal. Bulls eye! And the ball changes color. A lot of fun for top goal scorers! Better urinal aim thru soccer |

As Seinfeld once said.. Not that there's anything wrong with that. As for me. No Thanks. CLEVELAND (AP) -- Indians minor leaguer Kazuhito Tadano is asking for forgiveness for what he called a one-time mistake -- his appearance in a gay porn video in which he engaged in a homosexual act. Tadano took part in the video three years ago when he was a college student. Sitting in the Cleveland clubhouse Tuesday, the pitcher said he hoped to put his actions in the past. "All of us have made mistakes in our lives," Tadano said, reading a statement in English. "Hopefully, you learn from them and move on."
