Supersonic JDAM drop marks increase in Raptor capability
Topic: Miscellaneous 3:08 pm EDT, Aug  2, 2005

But the speeds at which we will eventually release the JDAM over the next couple of weeks will far exceed any current aircraft's JDAM envelope," said the test pilot.

Additionally, this was the first time a JDAM was released supersonically from an internal weapons bay.

I love this plane. I want to marry this plane and have little fighter jet babies!

from the nerdcore-makes-a-good-comic-too dept.
hammeredpeon writes "MC Plus and others talk about their nerdcore rap skills with Wired magazine." From the article: "While gangsta rap is seen as celebrating the violence and aggression that claimed two of its brightest stars, 'geeksta' rap is a hip-hop genre celebrating coding skills and school grades. Also dubbed 'nerdcore,' this branch of hip-hop is for geeks, by geeks. Geeksta rappers adopt the same combative verbal-assault stylings of their forerunners, but bust rhymes about elite script compiling and dope machine code. The term was first coined in 2000 by nerdy New York rapper MC Frontalot in a track of the same name. Nerdcore now refers to artists waxing lyrical about topics as disparate as engineering and Lord of the Rings."

uhm.... hAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAH

"One of the dangers of random searches is that they can invite the possibility of racial, ethnic or religious profiling," NYCLU Executive Director Donna Lieberman said.

Ok, so then there's a choice to make.

(1) Possibly offend people.
(2) Or get blown up and die.

I choose what's behind door number 1.

At last, a way to end squabbles over which TV channel to watch — without buying a second set. Sharp Corp. has developed a liquid-crystal display that shows totally different images to people viewing the screen from the left and the right.

Neat idea.

"I found a list of officers' names," he claims, "under the heading 'Non-Terrestrial Officers'... What I think it means is not earth-based. I found a list of 'fleet-to-fleet transfers' and a list of ship names. I looked them up. They weren't US Navy ships. What I saw made me believe they have some kind of spaceship, off-planet."

Why would this idiot talk about this stuff? It would be silly for anyone to believe him.

I think it refreshing the location of each cab every 60-90 seconds or so. Pretty neat.

MTV.com - think - Headlines - Bush Insists Iraq War Is 'Worth It' In Sober Speech

At times contradicting recent statements by his own vice president
and secretary of defense, the President gave a sober, stern-faced assessment of how long U.S. troops could remain in the conflict and urged Americans to support their military over the July 4 holiday weekend by flying flags and writing to soldiers.

He was sober? If he can't manage to keep himself drunk when giving speeches he's not MY president!
