The Sedition Act of 1918 was an amendment to the Espionage Act of 1917. The Sedition Act forbade an American to use "disloyal, profane, scurrilous, or abusive language" about the United States government, flag, or armed forces. The act also allowed the Postmaster General to deny mail delivery to dissenters.
Ah this sux - it was repealed in 1921. At non-wartime I'm all for bashing everything and everyone - at wartime however I am not. This is my whole entire problem with liberals ( of which I actually used to be one, used to vote democrat all the way down the ballots - until Clinton came around and ruined everything for me regarding the Dems )..
