The buyers, the source said, are Lloyd Goldman, Joseph Cayre and Jeffrey Feil. The same men also were named as the buyers by the Slatin Report, a Web site covering New York real estate. All are prominent but secretive Manhattan landlords. Goldman and Cayre joined with Larry Silverstein in buying the trade center lease for $3.2 billion months before the twin towers were destroyed in the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001. ... Many Chicago brokers were astonished by the swiftness of the sale, which occurred without MetLife taking competing bids. Brokers said the Sears Tower "offer book'' hit the streets only a couple of weeks ago. "Somebody came in with a pre-emptive bid. It must have swept them off their feet,'' one said. ... This will be interesting to watch. Wonder if the next terrorist attack is scheduled to be in Chicago? Watch for abnormal stock trades like there were immediately before 9/11. And watch out for employees of "MOving SyStems incorporAteD" with videos of Chicago showing zoomed in pictures of the Sears tower. More about that here: http://www.zwire.com/site/mercury_101801.html That article doesn't explicity state the nationality of the folks who were detained, opting instead for the general "Middle Eastern." There are a few other articles that delve into it though. They were most likely Israeli. From American Free Press: The Mercury did not identify the mens nationality, but their names were Moshe Elmakias and Ron Katar. Moshe is a Hebrew name which is not likely to have been bestowed on a Muslim or an Arab. A woman named Ayelet Reisler, in their company, was also detained. She had a German passport in her name and medication in a different name. The two men worked for a company known as Moving Systems Incorporatedwhich is intriguing because AFPs report of Oct. 1 revealed several suspected Israeli intelligence operatives seized by the FBI in the New York area after filming the World Trade Center disaster from at least two venues also purportedly worked for moving companies. Supporters of Israel suggest that it is just a coincidence that several different groups of Israelis in the United Statessome of whom are definitively connected to Israeli intelligencewould be working for moving companies and also have detailed videos of the WTC disaster and the Sears Tower, a potential terrorist target. ... In a world where you ask people how many skyscrapers collapsed on 9/11, and most people say "two," it's hard to get them to realize there were Israelis detained in New York, posing as Arabs, filming the carnage and celebrating. Their cover was working for a moving business. In each case though, NY and Chicago, those detained were quietly deported. Thanks US government, thanks for all the hard work you do with domestic terrorist suspects. Regardless of all the potential for conspiracy here, this purchase could just be smart business. Buy low (when people have terrorism jitters) and sell high (jack the rent when the fear subsides.) Or, just taking a wager that Chicago is next and then collecting the windfall. Interesting stuff. Looks interesting. I've always wondered why Hussain al-Hussaini (John Doe #2) was swept under the rug. Of course, if this book is going to deal with unanswered questions about the OKC bombing, they need to touch on a few: The two unexploded bombs that were found inside the building and defused by police. The statements from some ATF agents and other officials who worked there, that they were given warnings to be out of the building that morning. The seismographic evidence that showed explosions prior to the truck bomb explosion. The witnesses who heard multiple explosions. I think logic would dictate, with the bad press over Iraq, that if Iraq really was behind WTC '93, OKC and WTC '01 they would be waving it in our faces daily to trumpet the war effort. They tried, by mentioning 9/11 and Iraq in the same sentence for months, to affect the Pavlovian conditioning of the two. Ultimately though, Bush and Rumsfeld both have stated Iraq had no hand in 9/11. RE: WorldNetDaily: Iraq: Lynchpin of terror war |

A former translator for the FBI with top-secret security clearance says she has provided information to the panel investigating the 11 September attacks which proves senior officials knew of al-Qa'ida's plans to attack the US with aircraft months before the strikes happened. She said the claim by the National Security Adviser, Condoleezza Rice, that there was no such information was "an outrageous lie". Sibel Edmonds said she spent more than three hours in a closed session with the commission's investigators providing information that was circulating within the FBI in the spring and summer of 2001 suggesting that an attack using aircraft was just months away and the terrorists were in place. The Bush administration, meanwhile, has sought to silence her and has obtained a gagging order from a court by citing the rarely used "state secrets privilege". ... A write up in the Independent about a whistleblower coming forth. Here's a transcript of an interview with her too: http://www.democracynow.org/article.pl?sid=04/03/31/1616221#transcript Here's to hoping that this gets investigated further, drawn out into the public eye, and shown to be true. "Whenever there's a decline in the death rate in Iraq, whenever there are fewer soldiers killed or maimed than in the month preceeding, you'll see a lot of bluster and hyperbole coming from right wingers: things are going great! We can sure see the light at the end of the tunnel NOW! Well, we've heard about that light at the end of the tunnel before. Sometimes it turns out to be an onrushing train. I don't like to do the inverse, to jump on every report of a fatality as proof that I am right and all who oppose me are wrong. But given that the mutilated bodies of Americans--either contractors or CIA guys, depending on who you believe--are now being dragged triumphantly through the streets by cheering throngs...well, I think I speak for a lot of people when I respectfully ask the next right winger who might be tempted, in a month or two, or whenever the next lull hits, to write about how we've really turned a corner NOW--to instead, perhaps, consider shutting the fuck up [Emphasis added.]" --Tom Tomorrow --- Well said Tom. The re-election campaign of President George Bush provoked a new controversy yesterday, with a television ad campaign using a picture of an olive-skinned man to illustrate terrorism. As a voiceover warns that Mr Bush's presumptive opponent, John Kerry, is soft on terrorists, a split-screen shows people at an airport, and a young man with flickering eyes who turns menacingly towards the camera. The ads are the most aggressive so far - targeting John Kerry by name. Arab Americans said the campaign played on racism and fear, and could inflict further damage on a community marginalised after September 11. "When they turn around and say John Kerry would be soft on terror, they don't use a picture of Osama bin Laden. They use a young good-looking, Middle Eastern male turning around looking furtively," said James Zogby, president of the Arab American Institute, which called on the Republicans to change the ads. ... It's at the usual place, http://www.georgebush.com/tvads/ In the video "100 Days" after the "War on Terror" splash. Go full screen when you watch it, it's easier to see the actor's nationality. It was actually well underway with respect to planning and logistics. Pakistan had been told earlier that summer that we were coming in. The attack on the Taliban was not vengeance for 9/11, it was business as usual. I think that's how most people think Bush "dealt" with the challenge, by avenging America against the purported culprits. ] If people are going to blame Bush for everything that goes ] wrong, then I believe that they should also give him credit ] for some of the things that go *right*. We witnessed our standard operating procedures for intercepting errant aircraft fail that day. 67 airplanes had been intercepted that year under standard operating procedures. Why not on 9/11? Something else interesting: ABC journalist John Cochran was traveling with the President. He reported on ABC TV on Tuesday morning: "Peter, as you know, the president's down in Florida talking about education. He got out of his hotel suite this morning, was about to leave, reporters saw the White House chief of staff, Andy Card, whisper into his ear. The reporter said to the president, 'Do you know what's going on in New York?' He said he did, and he said he will have something about it later. His first event is about half an hour at an elementary school in Sarasota, Florida." --'ABC News' Special Report 'Planes crash into World Trade Center' (8:53 AM ET) Tuesday 11 September 2001 So he knew about it before he went into the school. The Bush reelection campaign yesterday unveiled its first three campaign commercials showcasing Ground Zero images, angering some 9/11 families who accused President Bush of exploiting the tragedy for political advantage. "It's a slap in the face of the murders of 3,000 people," said Monica Gabrielle, whose husband died in the twin tower attacks. "It is unconscionable." Gabrielle and several other family members said the injury was compounded by Bush's refusal to testify in open session before the 9/11 commission. ... But Jennie Farrell, who lost her brother, electrician James Cartier, called the ad "tastefully done," adding: "It speaks to the truth of the times. Sept. 11 ... was something beyond the realm of imagination, and George Bush ... led us through one of the darkest moments in history." ... Two ads, including a Spanish version, show fleeting images of the World Trade Center devastation. The 30-second spots include a poignant image of an American flag fluttering defiantly amid the WTC wreckage. One, titled "Safer, Stronger," also features a one-second shot of firefighters removing the flag-draped remains of a victim from the twisted debris. Both ads reinforce the Ground Zero imagery with frontal shots of two firefighters. Unlike the paid actors and actresses in most of the footage, they are not ringers, but their red headgear gives them away as non-New Yorkers. The Bush campaign declined to reveal where the burly smoke-eaters actually work. ... I remember a while back this was the stated mission from Bush's handlers, to exploit 9/11 for political advantage. And so it begins. Furor over Bush's 9/11 ad |

An Attempt to Uncover the Truth About September 11th, 2001 We all know the official story of September 11th: four jetliners were hijacked by groups of four and five Arabic men armed with box cutters, who proceeded to fly three of the four jets into the Twin Towers and the Pentagon. Subsequently the towers, weakened by the impacts and fires, collapsed into piles of rubble. Later in the afternoon 47-story Building 7, also weakened by fire, collapsed. (Or did you miss that detail?) The FBI had compiled a list of hijackers within two days, and it was so obvious that Osama bin Ladin had masterminded the operation from caves in Afghanistan, that there was no need to seriously investigate the crime or produce evidence. The "retaliatory" attack on the Taliban would soon commence. Is this story true? Its central assumptions have never been seriously tested. There are numerous red flags in the official story, which requires a long series of highly improbable coincidences. Questioning that story is an act of responsible citizenship. ... The WTC collapses looked suspect to me from day one. This site is a great referrence with movies and pictures to go with the analysis. Lots of eye witness accounts as well. My thoughts: There's a photo of people walking up to the entry hole in the North Tower and looking out: http://911research.wtc7.net/wtc/evidence/photos/wtc1hole1.html This makes me wonder how hot the temperatures were pre-collapse. Was the temperature hot enough to melt steel? And why didn't the 1975 fire, set on the 11th floor, which spread to 6 other floors and burned for 3 hours, cause a collapse? Also of note is the antenna. It was 352 feet long, weighing 353 tons. If you notice watching the collapse video here: http://911research.wtc7.net/wtc/evidence/videos/docs/n_tower_1st24.mpg The antenna begins it's collapse before any other part of the building. This indicates the core failed above the impact floor first (the antenna's weight was primarily supported by the core.) A few moments later the collaps starts to manifest in the top floors, then the impact floor. For these buildings to completely collapse in 10 to 15 seconds means everything fell virtually unimpeded, only encountering air resistance. Seismic records more or less match up with observed free fall times. Also, the symmetry of the debris cloud as the building collapsed and the symmetric distribution of debris on the ground (as indicated in the FEMA report) are hallmarks of controlled demolition. A progressive, floor by floor collapse would not have been as clean as these falls were. Here's an enlightening passage from the Albequerque Journal: "Televised images of the attacks on the World Trade Center suggest that explosives devices caused the collapse of both towers, a New Mexico Tech explosion expert said Tuesday. The collapse of the buildings appears "too methodical" to be a chance resul... [ Read More (0.2k in body) ] 9-11 Research |
