Today is Stephen Hawking's birthday. He is 65. In an interview with The Daily Telegraph, he told them that one of the things he plans on doing this year is taking a ride on the Vomit Comet (the zero-G airplane), and then, in 2009, to go into space via Virgin Galactic's SpaceShipTwo. Sir Richard Branson is picking up the tab for his ride.

This video of a live Tickle Me Elmo doll going up in flames is easily the most disturbing thing I've seen all month -- it writhes and thrashes and laughes with mad glee, begging you to "stop it" while its charred body dances with red flame. This is some deeply twisted stuff.

This guy shot a picture of himself jumping everyday of 2006. "How incredibly boring?" I thought to myself as I read this post on Boing!Boing! today. Actually, they're pretty artistic. Lots of different venues, lights, etc. It's hard to be creative every day, day in and day out.
