Question Do adult film companies have casting calls or auditions? If so what part of the country do you have to go to do this?
Answer Some companies do have open casting calls or auditions. These are usually held at the studios and are advertised well in advance. Casting calls are like cattle calls since they get the models to one location and because of the sheer nature of applicants they will just go over the basics of the project, have you fill out the applicable paperwork, verify your ID and take some photos of you. Standard qualifying photos are as follows-
• Head shot • Full body shot- front nude • Full body shot- back nude • Full body shot- side nude
America’s Traffic Congestion Problem: Toward a Framework for Nationwide Reform
Topic: Politics and Law
12:35 pm EDT, Apr 9, 2008
A large and growing burden on the nation’s economy, traffic congestion arises for various reasons, and more than one mechanism is needed to combat it. It is most unlikely, however, that serious inroads to address the problem will be made without fundamental reform in the way consumers are charged for their use of congested highways. Congestion prices are tolls that reflect the economic costs of congestion, including productivity losses from traffic delays, increased accidents, higher emissions, and more. Such prices would help reduce these economic costs, and guide transportation investment resources to their highest and best use—which would include a better balance between highway and transit investment. In addition, such prices would generate revenues to help finance new investment and compensate low-income people and others for whom toll payments are especially burdensome. Requiring federal, state, and local engagement, such reform is a necessary step in the development of an effective, efficient, and sustainable highway system for the twenty-first century.
I thought it was real at first due to the decent graphics, but as dc0de pointed out it is saddly an April Fools prank. Sad. This would have been great at parties.
Most people would agree the default look of submit buttons is rather dull and unattractive. Using CSS and a nice gradient background image, it's easy to transform a form button from a duck to a swan.
Music File Compressed 1,000 Times Smaller than MP3

Researchers at the University of Rochester have digitally reproduced music in a file nearly 1,000 times smaller than a regular MP3 file.
The music, a 20-second clarinet solo, is encoded in less than a single kilobyte, and is made possible by two innovations: recreating in a computer both the real-world physics of a clarinet and the physics of a clarinet player.
The achievement, announced today at the International Conference on Acoustics Speech and Signal Processing held in Las Vegas, is not yet a flawless reproduction of an original performance, but the researchers say it's getting close.

A vast hunk of floating ice has broken away from the Antarctic peninsula, threatening the collapse of a much larger ice shelf behind it, in a development that has shocked climate scientists. ... "I didn't expect to see things happen this quickly. We predicted it would happen, but it's happened twice as fast as we predicted."
How well these titles compare to bartending reference books remains to be seen, but there would be a certain amount of cool-factor in looking up drink recipes on a DS. Here's a page from a Japanese website that has several screen shots (no pun intended) from Bartender DS. If any of these "games" come to the U.S.A., I'll buy them on principle alone.
