XKCD: Balmer Peak
Topic: Miscellaneous 3:57 pm EDT, Oct  1, 2007

I wonder how many other things in life go better with a BAC of .129 and .139. I guess It is time to get out the party breath-a-lizer and do some experiments.

ABC News:WV Woman stabbed, tortured, fed dog feces for a week
Topic: Miscellaneous 3:50 pm EDT, Oct  1, 2007

This is rather messed up. I do believe I will be avoiding WV for a while.

Inside a shed on a remote hillside of this coalfield community, authorities say a young black woman was tortured for days, sexually assaulted, beaten and forced to eat rat droppings.

Her captors, all of them white, choked her with a cable cord and stabbed her in the leg while calling her a racial slur, poured hot water over her and made her drink from a toilet, according to criminal complaints.

...

At one point, an assailant cut the woman's ankle with a knife and used the N-word in telling her she was victimized because she is black, authorities said. They said the young was also forced to eat dog feces.

Since 1991, police have filed 108 criminal charges against the six.

I see the justice system is doing a great job keeping violent criminals off the streets.

Yahoo News: Update shuts down some hacked iPhones
Topic: Miscellaneous 11:23 am EDT, Sep 28, 2007

Apple warned earlier this week that the iPhone update — which adds access to the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store and fixes some security flaws — could permanently disable phones running programs that untether phones from its exclusive partner's network.

Some sites also reported that iPhones equipped with unofficial, third-party applications were disabled after the update

John Kerry: FUCK YOU.
Topic: Miscellaneous 10:56 am EDT, Sep 28, 2007

For standing on stage like a cowardly sack of crap, because in theory you more than anyone else there should have known what was going on in that room was illegal and would have had the power to stop it with a word but didn't.

FUCK YOU.

You're done. As far as a lot of Americans and myself are concerned, you will never be worthy of a vote again. You very obviously don't have our best interests in heart, and even more clearly don't give a crap what happens to your fellow man even when it's right in front of you.

John Kerry: FUCK YOU.

Yahoo News: Computer club explores 'nerd auction'
Topic: Miscellaneous 10:53 am EDT, Sep 28, 2007

Washington State's LUG is trying to get laid. Mainly with the soros.

"The problem is that we're all still nerds. Let's face it, guys. If anyone's going to bid on us, we'll need some spicing up," he wrote. "And who better to help with that than sorority girls who like nothing better than a makeover?"

RE: MIT student arrested for entering Boston airport with art project
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:54 pm EDT, Sep 21, 2007

I can't wait until the next season of Boston Legal ... being all leftist and ACLU loving, I am sure they will go ape shit over incidents like this. New season starts in 4 days on the 25th, it will probably take 2 to 4 weeks before this topic filters through the writers and lawyers and gets filmed and edited (assuming they haven't written a pseudo mooninite incident of their own to portray on the tv show).

This is completely bizarre. If anyone can explain it, please um, stop doing drugs.

This video is awesome. I haven't seen it in a very long time. Thinking hurts.

Prisoner sues Vick for $63 billion, ties to Al-Quaeda | ajc.com
Topic: Miscellaneous 4:47 pm EDT, Jul 27, 2007

Riches claims that Vick sold the pilfered pooches on eBay and used the proceeds to purchase missles from the Iranian government, that he has "plead (sic) allegiance to Al-quaeda" and has subjected Riches to "microwave testing."

I wonder which is funnier, the lawsuit, or the fact that someone put it in a (supposedly) reputable newspaper. I guess now that World Weekly News is gone, the main stream players need to fill in the void.
