Despite having more information at our fingertips than any generation before, there is little evidence that our ability to make good, timely decisions has improved. "We are in a time when people can sit in front of the screen and get bombarded with facts and sometimes that's confused for education. But I think that what we owe it to our young people to do is to help them ask questions." Too much information |

The Preds defining moment? |

] It happened a year ago this week. That's when coach Barry ] Trotz and General Manager David Poile decided they were ] confident that Tomas Vokoun could be the team's No. 1 ] goaltender, thus, allowing the Preds to trade No. 1 ] goalie Mike Dunham to the New York Rangers for veteran ] center Rem Murray and two young defensemen, Thomas ] Kloucek and Marek Zidlicky. I disagree. I think the defining moment for the franchise was a month later when Trotz **DIDN'T** get fired. Yes, the rest of the season ended horribly, but with that winning streak in Jan and Feb, he proved that he can make magic with the team. Even if we don't make the playoffs this season (likely), the team is starting to believe that it can. That's a huge step. The Preds defining moment? |
