"Iraqi President Saddam Hussein, accusing the United States of coveting Middle Eastern oil and believing it should "control the world," said Monday that such U.S. designs are starting to dawn on European leaders and should concern all the world's citizens. " When was the last time you read a statement by Saddam? :) CNN.com - Saddam: U.S. 'believes it should control the world' - September 2, 2002 |

"it has come to my attention that some people think I was responsible for the interesting network outage on Saturday night at Defcon 10 where all sites on the internet resolved to only one site and that no-one was able to maintain an association with any access point other than the offending one... While I categorically deny these allegations, the code i used to do it will be up here in a day or so..." The PPT on this page was one of the better talks from DefCon. "The idea of an "invisibility cloak" has made the leap from science fiction books to an international patent application. Ray Alden of North Carolina is attempting to patent a "three dimensional cloaking process and apparatus" for concealing objects and people (WO 02/067196). The idea hinges on carefully mimicking background lighting conditions to help render an object invisible, similar to how a chameleon blends in with its surroundings. The rear and front surfaces of an object are covered with a material containing an array of photodetectors and light emitters respectively. The photodetectors on the rear surface are used to record the intensity and color of a source of illumination behind the object. The light emitters on the front surface then generate light beams that exactly mimic the same measured intensity, color and trajectory. The result is that an observer looking at the front of the object appears to see straight through it." From the 'I wonder how well this works.' department... |

The reputation system in the agent now has two new modes: Recs/Noise and Clicks/Noise I think these ratios are a more accurate reflection of real reputation. They'll help you keep track of users who make rare but useful recommendations. I'm still defaulting to total recommendations. One reason is that people with a very high signal to noise ratio probably don't post often... Tell me how well they work out for you. Note: You CANNOT artificially inflate your signal to noise ratio by deleting old recommendations. [[ MemeStreams ]] Reputation Agent |

"If people do not feel enough guilt 2 prevent them from making digital copies of the latest episode of a popular TV show or hit pop song, it is precisely because the industry giants have succeeded in making these works purely commercial products, with little or no consideration 4 their actual artistic value. It is precisely because these companies have been consistently promoting commercial products at the xpense of artistic works." Ok, so, I've had a few beers. And tghe thing is, that I don't really want PRINCE, or um, I guess that dude who was formerly known as prince, explaining complex social issues to me. I want prince, or um, oh whatever, to explain how to get laid constantly. Thats his space, isn't it. I mean that information would be really useful. I've already got enough internet pundits to blog here. The thing is that the quoted comment was an interesting insite (in the heart of an article you've red a thousand times before). Its hope... You don't have to worry about people not patronizing art. People patronize art. Fuck, look at the church. Thats nothing if not art and many people give it nearly as much as they give the feds. People rip off music because music really isn't worth anything, not because Music isn't work anything, but because the music we have is not Art. The system prays upon the fear you have of your neighbors. Tips. Copyright.... If everyone agrees to do the right thing everyone is fine. If you think everyone is going to screw you then you need the man to set things straight for you. Its all in your head. Maybe I've taken that a little further then prince, or um... sigh... yeah, that dude was taking it. There are more essays up here that I should read, but I need to sleep, and tomorrow, I need to code... Prince on p2p |

"Consider co-founder and leader Steve Jobs' constant exhortation through advertising (i.e. mind control) that its followers should "think different". We have to ask ourselves: "think different than whom or what?" The disturbing answer is that they want us to think different than our Christian upbringing, to reject all the values that we have been taught and to heed not the message of the Lord Jesus Christ!" Skip right down to the analysis of Apple Computers. I was thinking about getting a MAC, but damn man, I don't want to go to hell... OBJECTIVE: Creation Education: Evolutionism Propaganda |

The MemeStreams CafePress store is now open for business. I initially told everyone not to use this store because the factory image I had was a little blurry. Although some people had advised me that you wouldn't be able to tell on a t-shirt, I wanted to get one of the shirts and be sure. Unfortunately, that initial image did end up looking blurry on the final shirt. So I got the images cleaned up. These are very crisp. They should look great. I feel confident about opening the store now. Have fun... MemeStreams | Powered by CafePress.com |
