How to ZAP a Camera: Using Lasers to Temporarily Neutralize Camera Sensors Cameras are ubiquitous today, and, from a technology perspective, the revolution is just beginning. To many, this is good news. But there is a dark side. ... When cameras are everywhere, is it possible to become invisible from them? Yes and no. I began by aiming an inexpensive laser pointer directly into the lens of a video camera. The results were striking. This work has a certain "Steve Mann meets Ross Anderson" appeal to it. "Here's your chance to go back to 1999 and do it wrong, all over again.... BURN RATE is based on the experiences of many technologists during the recent rise and fall of the new economy. With a simple, fun, and uncannily realistic game system, you and your friends will struggle to keep a dot-com startup afloat as the bad business pours in and the money runs out. October 3, 2002What would Jesus do? We admit that this is a perfectly fine question. And so, to find answers, we decided to go to the source and last week read through the four Gospels. This is what we found. Q: Would Jesus launch a "pre-emptive" war? A: Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God. (Matt. 5:9) Q: Out "president" [That's "resident" Bush -- Ed.] appears to be prepared to "kick some Iraqi ass." What would Jesus do? A: Ye have heard that it hath been said, thou shalt love thy neighbor, and hate thine enemy. But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you and pray for them that despitefully use you and persecute you. (Matt. 5: 4344) Q: While the governor of Texas, George Bush signed 140 death warrants, and granted no pardons to condemned prisoners. What would Jesus do? A: Blessed are the merciful for they shall obtain mercy. (Matt. 5:7) The HTML on this page is baddly broken, but I enjoyed the content. What would Jesus do? |

He has several outdoor tables that are in disrepair, and are in need of new and more durable tops. So, I will be covering them with mosaic tile. It's a chance for me to be a little creative, as well as earn more of my keep. " There are some interesting thoughts in here about the difficulty of working out of homelessness, panhandling, etc.. "NEW YORK - Think formal education helps in business? Think again. Chief executives who went to graduate school don't seem to make any more money for their shareholders than those with no advanced degree. MBAs may actually do worse than those with no advanced degree, although they fare better than lawyers. " Forbes.com: Keep Your CEO Out Of Grad School |
