They annoy you with unreasonable travel regulations in order to get you to talk about it on the Internet, which helps drive ad revenue and ultimately leads to greater consumption of consumer products, which, of course, causes increased incomes, and therefore, tax revenue, which the TSA spends on new annoyances.
