Well, ok then. I'm making my own Drivers 10 Commandments. And having such a high opinion of myself, I expect others to follow them... 1) Thou shalt get the fuck out of the way. 2) Thou shalt not stay in the left lane when there is open space in the right lane. 3) Thou shalt always leave enough space on ones' right to get by when making a left at an intersection. 4) Thou shalt not violate the sanctity of others lanes. 5) Thou shalt use turn signals. 6) Thou shalt not start driving like an idiot the second a rain drop or snow flake falls. 7) Thou shalt respect the velocity preferences of others. 8) Thou shalt obey the every-other rule when merging in slow traffic. 9) Thou shalt maintain a reasonable following distance at all times. 10) Thou shalt use high-beams with prudence.
Ok, rattle, you fucked up on a few... so here's my fixes... 1) Thou shalt get the fuck out of MY way. 2) Thou shalt not stay in the left lane when there is open space in the right lane. (amen) 3) Thou shalt always leave enough space on ones' right to get by when making a left at an intersection. (amen) 4) Thou shalt not violate the sanctity of others lanes and always use turn signals. 5) Thou shalt NOT talk or text on your cellphone without a hands free device EVER. 6) Thou shalt not start driving like an idiot the second a rain drop or snow flake falls. 7) Thou shalt respect the velocity preferences of others. (amen) 8) Thou shalt obey the every-other rule when merging in slow traffic. (amen) 9) Thou shalt maintain a reasonable following distance at all times. Can an elderly father give police permission to search a password-protected computer kept in his adult son's bedroom, without probable cause or a warrant? In April, a three judge panel of the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals said yes. This week, the son's attorney, Melissa Harrison, an assistant federal public defender in Kansas City, will ask the court to reconsider the panel's ruling. At stake is whether law enforcement will have any responsibility to respect passwords and other expressions of user privacy when searching devices which contain the most sensitive kinds of private information.
Jennifer Granick posts a very interesting legal issue, that everyone on Memestreams should review... If this isn't overturned by the 10th Circuit, there could be some scary ramifications stemming from this action... Please, take a read... Hack My Son's Computer, Please |

At a news conference, Bush defended the bill as a comprehensive approach that will fix what most Americans believe is a broken immigration system through which millions of illegal immigrants have slipped into the United States. "If anybody advocates trying to dig out 12 million people who have been in our society for awhile, you know, it's sending a signal to the American people that's just not real," Bush said. "I mean, it is -- it's an impractical solution."
Well fuck that... Bush, you idiot. Instead of a "compromise" bill, why can't your new DHS be responsible for getting the illegal immigrants out of the country? Are you saying that it's "Too Hard" for the United States of America to defend it's borders against any enemies? These people have crossed our borders illegally for years, and the government of this country ALLOWED it to continue, and now, the only solution that can be crafted by our "leaders", is to institute REAL-ID, and keep the illegals here? Weak... very weak. Senate leaders battle for immigration pact | Reuters |

Howard Ludwig cannot walk or talk - but he does have his own Illinois gun permit. The 10-month-old was issued with a firearm owner's identification card after his father, Howard Ludwig snr, paid the US$5 ($6.86) fee and filled out the application, not expecting to actually get one. The card lists the baby's height - 68.6cm, weight 9kg - and has a scribble where the signature should be.
But REAL-ID is going to keep this from happening... heh... sure... Baby got his gun - 17 May 2007 - Feature: Strange but true |

skullaria wrote: Oh, I totally agree! My point - probably grossly misunderstood - was that all political sides HAD to engage. IE - Right now there's some pushing for gun control. Those of us against that, HAVE to push back. There are many sides to a political agenda. Trying to keep freedom - from gun control, forced mental health screenings, forced medication of people not judged a danger to self or others - THAT is as much a politcal agenda as those that would seek to curtail rights that we all enjoy right now. Which is why I think they have to happen. What would you have people do? All just shut up? Or just one side shut up?
I'm not asking anyone to shut up, I believe in the freedoms that were set out by our forefathers, and I personally have no qualms about anyone speaking freely. Therefore, I think every voice should be heard, no matter how weak, or thin, and until that freedom is revoked (along with others) I will still continue to support our nation. I know that there are politicians who will try to use this tragedy to their ends, and they should be called out as the ambulance chasing charlatans that they are, in an openly public venue. We need government that is FOR the people, not FOR the government. Otherwise, we become [not so] "great" Britain all over again. That's my 2ยข, YMMV. And now from the irony department...
Of course they hired illegals, who else does skilled labor in the Southern States these days? RE: Fence firm hired illegals - The Washington Times, America's Newspaper |
