Ga. Senate panel OKs Confederate month |

You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!? Since when is there a "Holiday" or "Celebration" for those who LOST the war? April as Confederate History and Heritage Month to honor the memory of the Confederacy and "all those millions of its citizens of various races and ethnic groups and religions who contributed in sundry and myriad ways to the cause of Southern Independence."
What "sundry and myriad ways" did racially focused, inbred, lazy landowners "contribute" to American Society? Oh, wait, I get it... they are the cause of the Racial Divide in our Nation today... (but is that a good thing? -- NO.) Georgia needs to get a grip. I'm not about "apologizing for slavery", as I have never owned a slave, nor treated anyone as a slave, regardless of race, color, religion, etc... But to blatently wave the "confederate" flag and "honor" those dead ways, is akin to paganism in Rome. It simply has NO PLACE in modern society. [to the senators who voted for this bill] Take off your white robes or get out of office. Ga. Senate panel OKs Confederate month |

No Doubt, this will be classified as another reason for the implementation of REAL-ID act. Just because the North Carolina Government cannot find a method to automate the processes to confirm the validity of identities. N.C. State Auditor Les Merritt's office discovered the problem when it compared the 8.1 million N.C. driver's licenses currently in use with the Social Security Administration's database of valid numbers, as well as the federal agency's list of numbers issued to people who are now deceased.
There are software applications that exist today to validate this type of information, and if North Carolina, and other states don't wise up, we're all going to be given a "National ID", and become microchipped. It's just stupid. Charlotte Observer | 03/21/2007 | Audit reveals license flaws |

The Homeland Security Department said Wednesday it has created a unit to combat the threat posed by "homegrown terrorists" — citizens or legal residents who plot attacks from inside the nation's borders. "This phenomenon presents a real and serious challenge to our nation," Homeland Security Secretary Michael Chertoff told a Senate panel. Chertoff emphasized that violent extremists "represent a small, fringe element within the American Muslim community" and that members of that community have been "outspoken in their opposition to terrorist violence." He noted that the last major attack by homegrown terrorists was the Oklahoma City bombing of 1995.
So this is a "real and serious challenge to our nation" and the last attack was over 10 years ago? I can't believe we vote these people into office. Homeland Security team to focus on U.S. terrorists - USATODAY.com |

dc0de: Well, that's where the problem is, I don't have your last four digits to the Social Security Number as described in the email. Gordo: Excuse me? dc0de: Yes, can you give me the last four digits of "your social security number" please? Gordo: No. I can't, I think that means the last four digits of YOUR social security number...

As digital evidence increases in importance, authorities seize anything that can hold data. This includes computers, CDs, USB keys, MP3 players, cell phones and game consoles, Jim Christy, a director of the U.S. Department of Defense Cyber Crime Center, said in a presentation at the Black Hat DC Briefings & Training event here.

But Dr. Haupt said that Merck would continue to provide health officials and legislators with education about the vaccine and would continue to lobby for more financing for vaccines in general.
So, they are stopping the "Lobbying" but continue to pressure the legislators and health officials... how is this "Halting the Lobbying"? Merck is the Devil. There, I said it. Fuck you MERCK and your vaccines... if it were a good thing, and not something that would simply buoy your losses on other failed drugs, it would truly be a wonderful thing. However, Since HPV is also carried by the MALES of the species, your vaccine would then be JUST AS EFFECTIVE? However, you aren't pushing for the boys in this country to be vaccinated, are you? And why is that? hrm... let's ponder, shall we? You aren't sticking your trial medications in my children. Get the clue. Merck to Halt Lobbying for Vaccine for Girls - New York Times |
