Who Owns YOUR ROUTERS? New Cisco flaw could pose threat to Net - So, was Mike Lynn wrong now?
Topic: Technology 5:02 pm EDT, Sep  8, 2005

While the noise of the BlackHat security conference has faded into the everyday din of working, many people have allowed themselves to forget the purpose of Mike Lynn's resignation from ISS, and subsequent presentation was all about.

Now, here comes the next new Cisco Vulnerability, which provides an attacker remote exploit capabilities to their (dare I point it out) FIREWALL IOS code!!!

Ha.

(ooh, I need more of that)

Ha! Ha. (in the sound of Nelson Munch from the Simpsons...)

So, it wasn't a big deal? It's not important? When your router starts routing packets to the ol' bit bucket in the sky, and you can't figure it out, or it simply stops functioning all together, and you need to reflash the memory, you might want to then go read the WHOLE story, and understand why you may wish to change vendors...

Just my 2ยข, YMMV.
